Hi, I'm saving login information through Firefox / Firefox Monitor however I'd like to know why, whether I'm signed in, or especially after I've signed out of Firefox, all my login information is fully accessible with two simple clicks.

Should this not be protected when you're NOT signed in? ...or at least require a password should something need to be updated?

I understand there's the master password however, after reading various posts, I don't think it'll solve the issue.

Thanks!

Did you try to use a primary/master password ?

Without using a primary password it is always possible to access/inspect the passwords. If you use the PP then you need to enter this password at least once during a session.

Hi cor-el, Thanks for the quick reply.

Using the primary password worked, once I signed in. However, when I signed out all the information was still available.

Could there be any way to keep them secure unless you’re signed in to Firefox?

The primary password protects your logins stored locally in the profile folder. When you connect to Sync then your logins are uploaded to the Sync server and are encrypted with the password of the Sync account (i.e. not with the primary password). Whether you are connected to Sync doesn't make a difference on what you see in the Password Manager (Lockwise) as this only shows passwords saved in the profile folder.
