I want the snap package to have the Downloads folder to default to the users home folder

When I install firefox on ubuntu through snap package, the downloads folder defaults inside the snap (/home/<user>/snap/firefox/common/Downloads/). I would like that to be defaulted to the users downloads folder (/home/<user>/Downloads/), which is how it works in the chromium snap. What's the best way to reach out to the developers that maintain that package, to maybe add that change?
