I found a little program called DITTO works fine. It will hold multiple copy files until your ready to retrieve them.

Where are you copying from and pasting to? Are you pasting it into a online doc or something?

If u dnld anything with passwords. Say 4 files that's 1 file; open it; go back get 2nd file, then 3rd etc. I would like instead 2 dnld all files and passw then work on them. I need to copy each pass ( this example 4) then I can work offline on all files and not have 2 go back and forth. Of course it's all because I don't want 2 go 2 all the trouble of actually WRITING them down! Unthinkable! Am I correct in thinking when u right click and copy it is held in clipboard; if so can why can't it hold more than 1 item? I don't know these things so I ask 4 help. I think that makes me smart. Again thanks.

Copy what you want, then paste that to wherever you want.

Then go on to the next copy and continue.

If you are talking about, say, copying many things from separate places and pasting all of it into other places;

Open a text editor. Paste into the editor, then copy the whole thing to where you want.

I'm not sure I understand. I'm on a webpage I dnld a file then right click and copy pw. It only holds 1 pw at a time right? So then minimize page go into dnlds open dnld use pw go back to page get 2nd file,copy pw minimize page go 2 dnlds open dnld use pw repeat 2 more times in this case. No dnld file copy pw, dnld file 2 copy pw, dnld file3 copy pw, dnld file4 copy pw. Now close out page or pages work offline open dnld 1 apply pw. Wherever they are being stored ther are still 3 more pws there. So open dnld2 apply pw2 and soforth. This what I wish to do. The queution becomes is possible with FF60 on windows7. Thanks I'm appreciating ur e4orts on my b1/2.

Normal Copy replaces whatever was copied previously. That is how the Windows clipboard works.

You can install an add-on to save multiple bits and pieces of data. I don't think it would take over the Copy command, but instead would add something new to the right-click context menu. However, I don't know of a way to then use that accumulated data outside of Firefox.

If I had this problem, I would create a new document and store the info I needed in there. In Firefox, copy, switch over to my blank document, paste, hit Enter twice, save, switch back to Firefox, copy the next thing, switch back to the document, paste, hit Enter twice, save, and so on. I probably would make a note about what each paste is for, too, if they are going to be difficult to match up later.

so it seems 2 all come down 2 the clipboard functionalities . No problem I'll just rip off a quick query 2 those nice windows people( as I did 2 days ago) and I'm sure they'll make the appropriate improvements. Nevertheless I will persevere and go where no non-techie has gone b4. Again thank u jscher2000 ! happy j4
