We are using DocuWare 6 (Build 6.9.0520) and have a problem with the currently used Firefox version.

When working in DocuWare on your primary screen and open a document viewer in a new window it opens on the primary screen. When you move it to a secondary screen, close and reopen the viewer windows it is visible for a moment and then moves off screen. This happens every time you want to open the document viewer on the secondary screen. When you delete the local data of Firefox from your profile it works for the rest of the day but after a restart it’s back to this behavior. I tested this with 52.6.0esr and 59.0.2, both have this problem. When testing it 45.9.0esr this problem did not occur at all. All test done on Windows 7 Pro 64Bit SP1.

I hope somebody can help me with this and point me in a direction what causes this behavior.

Hi, as this program has a Support Site as well as a Community Forum it would be best to start there to see if they have answers. https://start.docuware.com/user-support

As well what fixes it now may not be working by June.

fyi path of esr : Firefox 52.9.0esr out on June 26 (same time as 60.1.0esr) will be the last major update for Firefox 52 ESR apart from any 52.9.x esr updates for security or allowed stability fixes.

Quantum Based Firefox 60.2.0esr will be out Aug 21 and Firefox 52 ESR will be EOL then. So people will have to upgrade to 60.2.0esr to keep getting security updates if they have not manually upgraded to 60.x.o ESR already. Firefox 60 ESR will require Windows 7, 8, 10.

Hello Pkshadow,

I did contact their support but the first solutions they provided didn't work. After a few more test we found out that this was working fine in older versions of Firefox. That is why I also reached out here to see if we could get more details on what is going on within Firefox.
