I want to know how to keep my email address on outlook always there instead of having to type it in every time I open my email account
Every time I want to go into my (old hotmail - now called outlook) to see my emails I have to type in my email address - this has only been in the last few days as normally my email address would always be readily typed in the top box and I would just go to the second box and type my password in. As I like to put my password in manually each time. But normally my email address has always been typed in that box ready.

Hi, make sure that you have cookies enabled - Settings for privacy, browsing history and do-not-track.
Also make sure that you aren't using Private Browsing - Private Browsing - Use Firefox without saving history.

Can anyone else help please. All I want is the two boxes that are shown to sign into my emails. the top one I always had my email address in there ready (no need to type it in every time) the second box below I want to type my password in every time.
no matter what I try I cannot get the top box to remember my email addy I only have the option to remember them both and that is not what I want??

Hi, make sure that Remember search and form history is selected - Control whether Firefox automatically fills in forms.
If that doesn't work, you can clear everything and start again: Delete all references to Outlook, as shown under the heading 'How do I remove a single website from my history?' in this article - Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox, then try again.
recently my email address is no longer is stored for outlook and I have to type in my whole email address before putting in my password - every time! I had always only had to type in my password before. I have tried your remedies above with no help.

Yes me too, I dont seem to be able to find anyone that can help me with this problem.... I wish someone just exactly knew and could say exactly what to do to keep my email address in the top box so I only have to type my password in....
I have a feeling it is Microsoft doing their usual crap, remember win 8!
Please someone must have the answer ??
