The "bookmarks-folder-choice" used to let you select from your entire list; it now only gives you 5 choices. Can this be corrected?

I use Windows 7 on my computer. When you star an article, you used to be able to "choose" from all of your current folders. Something changed, now when you select "choose", it only gives you a list of 5 folder from which to select. Because of this change, I now have to put the article on "toolbar", pull down the list and manually move it to the folder I wanted. Please change this back to the way it was; or let me know what to do to enable the entire folder list. Thank you. Jaye

If you only see Bookmarks Toolbar, Bookmarks Menu, and Unsorted Bookmarks then those folders are likely collapsed if there are actual folder that you see in the Bookmarks Manager (Library) or Bookmarks sidebar. There should be an arrow to the left of all three to open the folder and make their sub folders visible. If you aren't seeing those drop markers then try to click that area.

hello lady_jaye, i don't think this behaviour has changed in recent versions - when you click on the arrow at the far right of the folder entry the pane should expand you can put your new bookmarks in any folder of your choosing.

If folders in the full folder list aren't expanded (i.e. are closed) then look for a, possibly faint, arrow icon to expand (open) the folders.

Thank you for responding. I do not see an arrow anywhere. I selected everything I could see and nothing worked. Any other suggestions. Can you still access your entire list when you select "choose"?

Philipp, thanks for your response. When I select the arrow within the "folder:" box, I get "choose" plus 5 folders from my list (as before, I believe these are the last 5 folders I used before the problem started). If I select the arrow to the right of the box on the same "folder:" line, I get a list of 3 items: Bookmarks Toolbar, Bookmarks Menu, and Unsorted Bookmarks. I have tried everything on these two lists and nothing expands the list. It used to happen automatically when you selected "choose". Any other thoughts?
