Firefox "forgets" my previous session info. Can this be corrected?

Sometimes Firefox forgets my previous session info for no apparent reason. At other times like today it was due to a hidden Yahoo login window behind my main session window. As soon as I closed the main window I saw the hidden window and immediately reopened another instance of Firefox but the previous session didn't return, just my home pages instead,

Is there a way to prevent this behavior and retain previous sessions in this circumstance?

Thanks,

Try using the Exit button or menu-item, rather than just closing the window.

File > Exit after hitting the Alt key to view the Menu Bar. or Hit the 3-bar button to open the Menu Panel and use the Exit button at the lower-right corner of the Menu Panel. The "off" symbol - circle with a line at the top. On cursor hover that button will show Exit Firefox.

OK, thanks! I'll try that method to exit Firefox in the future. I may not know for a while if that solves the problem because the "forgetfulness" only happens occasionally.

You can check "History > Recently Closed Tabs/Windows" to see if there are tabs amd windows that can be recovered.

Thanks for the suggestion! But both the "Recover Previous Session" and "Recently Closed Tabs/Windows" are grayed out when this happens.
