I do all my email on my computer but I do have Tbird on my cellphone too, just in case I have to send something. But I never download. So I was in a situation where a government process included 'check your email' and I had only my cellphone with me. So I started downloading: 25 more, 25 more, 25 more ... and a hundred presses latter it's still not finished. Is there some way to reset that? I'm back with my computer and my email seem fine, but the cellphone remains stuck.

When I sort on correspondents, if, say, I have a message from Susan, messages from Tom, Dick, and Harry will appear in the sorted list under Susan's name. If I then sort under date, Susan's name will remain in the list for Tom, Dick, and Harry's messages, even though the individual headers give the correct name for each message. I noticed this a few days ago, and it's still happening. How do I stop this?

I understand that in the immediate future that Virginmedia.com will no longer provide email services for their subscribers is this true.

I have downloaded and installed Thunderbird Email on my computer.

I put in my name as requested. Enter my Gmail account and go through all the steps signing in only to get a message that there is an error and I cannot be signed in.

Extremely frustrating to not be able to use this app.

Will be uinstalling immediately.

In TB 155.01 when I click on Delete the email leaves my Inbox but does not display in the Deleted folder. If I look at Properties in the Deleted folder it shows the correct number of messages in there but the messages themselves do not show in the right hand window. Thus there is no way of seeing what the messages are, just the total quantity in the folder.

This morning, my email Inbox is empty. I use Thunderbird for four email accounts, and three of them are fine, but the fourth one has an empty Inbox this morning. I didn't (intentionally, anyway) move the emails anywhere, and they do appear to be in the All Mail folder, so I didn't lose them entirely. But I keep my emails mostly in my Inbox and they aren't there anymore.

Any ideas what happened to make them disappear and how I can get them back to the Inbox?

Сейчас почтовый клиент сам по себе поместил ее в папку "Удаленные", причем во входящих двух разных почтовых ящиков. Создать эту папку как отдельную во входящих не удается. 3. Удаленную папку "Охрана труда" почтовая программа также поместила как отдельную папку в удаленных и воссоздает ее снова при запуске почтового клиента.

I am in the midst of the long process of moving most (not all!) of my gmail from the gmail server to TBird, using filters as discussed in this thread.

I've started by first using filters on less important emails (ie so that no true disaster occurs if something goes horribly wrong). As I do so, I have questions!

For example, let's say I use a filter to: copy all the emails from @someone.org to a local folder then delete those emails (from the server)

What happens if one of those emails happens to be within a thread, including emails from people who don't match the filter (ie are not @someone.org). Have I broken the thread forever, ie, has something gone horribly wrong? If so, how do I prevent this behavior/have the entire thread move along with the targeted value? If not, I don't see how I can move email without breaking threads, which is a bit of a problem.

(Also - whoops, I see I should update, but the question remains.)

Trying to set up you Thunderbird Im used to Outlook. The setup here is not the same and it won't connect. The "Manual Account Configuration" is not the same as the pictures here. Pic 1 = What your system picked Pic 2-3 = Is whats in my Outlook pick 4 = is what happens.

In your help: "Manual Account Configuration" These pictures look nothing like what I see in your setup I could use some help. Im uninstalling Microsoft 365 and replacing it with LibreOffice and Thunderbird.

Id rather donate than have 365 main Email is home@barrysplace.ca AS you can see, im using a email that i rarely use. dont want to mess with the main ones

I have three AOL accounts for various reasons. Until recently, all three were available and working in Thunderbird - no issues. A few days ago on start-up, I had a pop-up requesting indicating that my password for one of these accounts had not been recognised in Thunderbird. The account was working fine on another device, ipad. Re-entering the password didn't give me access to the account, and in desperation I deleted the account from Thunderbird. I then tried to re-create it, but although Thunderbird shows all the correct(?) details in the account settings, it actually just gets all the ...box contents from another of my accounts. Does anyone have any ideas how Thunderbird references existing account when add a new mail account, or how to stop Thunderbird referencing an existing account please?

My thunderbird would not open. Said the file location couldn’t be found. I read online it recommended that I uninstall the application and reinstall. This fixed my issue with being able to access thunderbird but during the install all of my local folders were removed. Is there anyway I can get these back? I also lost all of my address book contacts.
