Hi all, in Firefox for Android (in the following I will always mean "Firefox for Android" when mentioning "Firefox") 78 it was possible to store login credentials, which were used to authenticate on a web proxy. The web proxy is a "squid" web proxy with enabled user authentication.
With Firefox 91 (I have not determined since which version exactly the behavior was changed, we "jumped" from Firefox 78 to 91) the web proxy asks for the login credentials and the authentication itself is working, but Firefox 78 would prompt the question, whether the user wants to store the credentials. This prompt will not be shown in Firefox 91. Additionally I have tested Firefox 98 and 101, there the prompt will be shown and the credentials will be stored (I can look the credentials up in the Firefox Password Manager), but they will not be "auto-filled" when accessing the web proxy again, after closing the Firefox.
My questions regarding this issue: Does someone know patch notes, where this behavior is mentioned? Does someone know, if this is on any "Mozilla Buglist/Featurelist"? -> before the hint will be given "use the search" -> Does someone know, what the underlying mechanism is, so that I am able to look it up?
Thanks, I appreciate any hint or suggestion (like raising it as bug/feature or possible workarounds).

I use firefox with both my PC as well as my samsung smart phone. The android version of Firefox overlaps the Items that are displayed. If I am looking for an item, such as a drill, It displays multiple pictures of drills offered by different companies. The displays are not correct as it shows the bottom part of each one in the middle part of what is displayed. You do not see the complete picture of what is being shown.

Hi all, I've set up proxy auto configuration with wpad. And it's working, but not in every case: On my android (version 10) phone I can enter in the advanced options the "Proxy Auto-Config" with a PAC URL. This works, but only for Chrome. When I use Firefox, the proxy is not used. Any Idea why this is the case and how this could be resolved?
I also downloaded the nightly build. With about:config I can set the network.proxy.autoconfig_url. There I added the PAC URL. But the browser still don't use the proxy. Any idea how to make this working?
Cheers

Hello! thank you for reading to my question.
My SAMSUNG Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the newest Firefox Mobile is currently on problem with pixiv website.
I tried to download (using long press on an image) this artwork : https://www.pixiv.net/en/artworks/95614546 (NSFW maybe, bunny girl in there)
but Firefox Mobile failed its download process so I retried, and it again.
also I have confirmed this problem is occurred with any and only pixiv website images. :(
Are there solutions for?

I noticed that Firefox on Android recently added a home button on the toolbar (just left of the address bar). I'm currently using version 95.2.0. Not sure when exactly this change was introduced, but I think it was fairly recently. That button certainly didn't used to be there.
I would like to hide that home button as I never use it and would prefer to let the address bar expand to use that space. I couldn't find any setting to do it though.
Please let me know how to hide that button. Thanks!
(Ideally, I'd like something similar to the customize toolbar options that desktop Firefox has where I can freely add/remove and reorder things on the toolbar. But a simple "show/hide home button" switch would suffice for now)

Firefox on android forgets where it is when it is minimized, or even on its own support page where it erases previously entered data fields if I click on any link on the support page! This is a major problem with banking websites. Example: I go to log on to my banking website which requires two Factor authentication. The phone call comes in with the authentication code and auto minimizes Firefox when the phone app launches. I go back to Firefox, and it has stepped back to full web pages back to the credentials entry page which requires another authentication call from the website! This leads to an endless cycle of redirects which cannot be circumvented currently. Firefox needs to remember AND STAY where it was with all entered field data; 1)when minimized, 2)when selecting an alternate tab or window, 3)when selecting an informational link on the date of field entry page (selecting an info link should not erase my data that I'd already entered), 4) when selecting the Share Data button on this very support page (which I can't actually use right now because it'll erase what I just typed when it tells me it can't access my data)

It looks like with the most recent update that I have shit pinned my homepage that I don't want there.
I prefer it if I only had sites that I pinned and collections .
If there's an option to remove the other crap that's been added please let me know!
