All three boxes under Options, Privacy, History, Firefox wil: Use custom settings for history are checked. I need to know what boxes are checked (if any) as default. I will not select Use default to find this out because I do not want my other settings to change to default. Can anyone tell me what the default setting is for this option? Thanks in advance.

Hello! I`m have trouble to install mozilla firefox 54 on my PC on Windows XP. My main PC died and I have no money to buy new or fix my but I need to study. Please help!

When I click on my spam folder there always was a selection that said something to the effect "Block future emails" and in the last two days this does not show up when I want to premantently block spam sent to me - makes no sense that this selection is just gone

I have always had this set, but suddenly links have started opening in a new window [another Firefox browser opens], and despite checking open in new tab is set, it continues.

There is no true reason for which I am using an ESR version I could use another but in this moment I have to remain on XP on this PC. So is there a Firefox version that can display the HTML 5 video on a WIN XP PRO SP3?

Way way back (like version 17 or so), it was easy to set Firefox so that PDFs opened --

   -- in Adobe Acrobat, in the tab

I had version 50 or so set up this way, and then accidentally "updated" and had to reinstall from scratch.

I have done

    Options > Applications > PDF > open in Adobe Acrobat

That gets me less than I want -- when I open a PDF, I get --

    open a new tab
    download the PDF through "save as" dialog box, and
    leave the new tab white

What I want is what I used to get in the early 2000s --

   -- the PDF open, in the tab, in Adobe Acrobat
   -- with the URL of the PDF in the address bar

I've had Setting> Advanced > Firefox Updates > Check for Updates > Never check for updates for years.

About a month ago, by accident (may daughter logged in to my computer on an account that she had't visited for years) Firefox updated. It's created havoc -- even Microsoft Word had to be reinstalled. I've easily lost two days of billable work over the last month trying to rebuild a stable workable configuration.

1. Is there a way to set something so that Firefox will POSITIVELY NEVER EVER EVER update? Can I set some file to some protected mode? Can I delete something? There hasn't been a feature added in about a decade that buys me anything that's worth a risk of 10 minutes of down time. I have deadlines that absolutely do not move, and I cannot afford the unpredictability of updates.

2. If I'm going to lock to some version, is there an "extended extended extended support" version that you recommend? Ideally, it'd be one that still gets security updates (like Windows XP did for many years, and for some security issues, even after the announced end of life in 2012), but I don't need that. I just need stability. Absolute, Rock of Gibraltar stability.

I am using an ERP database system that is working in firefox extented release till version 52.9.0 ESR. But when new firefox ESR released then it is not working in it till version 60.5.0 ESR. Kindly resolve this issue so I can use new version of firefox ESR.

Using hughesnet.net for email. When I install latest update for firefox it kills my ability to REPLY to any email as the text box will not open. I can receive emails. I can send an attachment to a blank email. I can not type anything into the reply text box. Please fix it.
