Interestingly, webcamtests.com says "A web camera was detected." -- but still can't access it. Chrome can access my camera just fine.

All of a sudden I Google search in Firefox isn't fully working. I only use Firefox but I tried the same thing in Edge and that works. I can search simple things in Firefox e.g. recipe for beef stew but when I ask for natural recipe for stain remover on clothes for example it just comes up with the word "thinking" and nothing else happens. Why hasn't firefox 147.0.4 updated to firefox 148 ? The computer is windows 10 home 64 bit that is enrolled in extended security updates. hi, spellchecking works fine when using Firefox in Linux, but not in Windows 11. For instance, I can enter comments and replies to magazine articles while using Linux and they're spellchecked as I go by highlighting misspelled words etc, but if I'm in Windows 11 and on the same comments section, although my Firefox settings are the same the spellcheck doesn't happen. Can anyone please tell me what's up with that?

When I click on the search box in the middle of the New Tab page and start typing, the focus automatically jumps to the Address Bar (Awesomebar). I want the typing to stay within the central search field.
In about:config, I have set browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar to false. However, this did not fix the problem — the input is still being redirected to the top address bar.

With the "Drag & DropZones" mode of the "Selected Text Searchers" extension, one can highlight some text on the page and then "drag" it, whereupon a screen of defined search engines appear as an overlay on the page, allowing for "dropping" of the text on top of any of the search engines, initiating using that search engine to search for the highlighted text. This stops working after 148.0: the search engines overlay does not come up, replaced with only the non-working icon on the mouse cursor.
