I visited about:support for the first time today, and I notice a list of Add-ons I was unaware of (i.e. I did not installed these), and I have questions.

Some of these made me think about the search shortcuts I see in Firefox's search setting:

amazondotcom@search.mozilla.org bing@search.mozilla.org ddg@search.mozilla.org ebay@search.mozilla.org google@search.mozilla.org wikipedia@search.mozilla.org

Are these preinstalled in the Firefox browser? What is their function? Are the search shortcuts and these add-ons associated?

I've been banging my head against a wall trying to figure this one out. Every time a video plays on youtube, reddit, etc it will show normal colors for a split second then it will darken it and wash out the colors. Not sure what is causing this.

Things I've tried: gfx.color_management.native_srgb to true in about:config Changing video settings in nvidia control panel Turning off hardware acceleration Restarting browser and PC Updating browser and video drivers, windows as well Turning off all extensions Trying with codecs both deactivated and reactivated

No other browser does this and ALSO when I run firefox in private mode it doesn't happen and videos run normally. Also when I try to record or take a screenshot of it it looks normal. Thank you for any assistance.

Due to a recent major security breach I started changing all of my passwords on my main desktop, I did not have sync on at the time. I then opened up my work laptop (again unsynced) and decided I should really use the sync feature to transfer my 500+ passwords onto my laptop for when I travel.

When I got home that evening, I turned on the sync feature on my main desktop, unfortunately it pulled all of my compromised passwords from my laptop and overwrote the ones on my main desktop. Is there anyway to restore my pre-sync passwords and ensure that they get transferred to my laptop instead please.

I have been facing this issue when accessing Google Drive using Firefox, after selecting a file and clicking on "File information" option the "Details" and Activity" tabs simply don't load, as you can see in these screenshots.

Also, I found this thread also here on Mozilla Support from two years ago that reports the same issue. Apparently the bug was solved but ended up returning in most current versions.

I opened the current thread just to report this bug again. Thanks.

Firefox was logged into my account and synced before migrating computer to Azure AD. After installing and logging into the fresh install of Firefox, there is no data associated with the account. It looks as though it was created today, even though I logged into the pre-existing account. I even have emails to this account from over a year ago.

Any way to recover?

Can I have more than one bookmark toolbar at the top of the screen? I am a teacher and I have at least 12 maths bookmarks I would like to display as well as my standard / personal bookmarks.

I went to settings and then to privacy and security and tried to find auto fill to remove credit card info. I couldn't find the setting the browser told me to find.

In early May I started having problems with Google on Firefox. Sometimes the Google home page won't load up at all. Once it does load up sometimes the searches work, sometimes the search just times out and goes back to the empty search bar, also when I click on links to websites they time out too. If I go straight to a bookmarked website, that seems to free things up and the next Google search I do will work. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox but it doesn't make any difference. Google works fine on Chrome and Edge. Any advice would be gratefully received - please note I'm not technically minded! Thank you.

When I try to open a what may be a link in a page, which should bring up a PDF file, I think, I get the following:

When I click on the Open Site in new Window button I get a new window with the following:

message "Unauthorized" context {} code null

I am trying to add an mp4 video to my website using the following code:

  <source src="images/###.mp4" type="video/mp4">
</video>

where ### is the name of the video file. I get the following error message:

"No video with supported format or MIME type found."

In the console the following is displayed:

"Media resource http://127.0.0.1:5502/images/###.mp4 could not be decoded. video.html All candidate resources failed to load. Media load paused. video.html Media resource http://127.0.0.1:5502/images/###.mp4 could not be decoded, error: Error Code: NS_ERROR_DOM_MEDIA_METADATA_ERR (0x806e0006)"

Runs just fine in Chrome and I have no pop-up blockers installed. Autoplay is set to be allowed for all websites.

Windows 11 version 23H2. Firefox version: 126.0 (64-bit)

As title- Cannot download for example webm format, but jpg is okay. cannot install any addon, theme or anything. DRM didnt install as well. i was trying reinstall, refreshing browser, rebooting.

On Edge or other search engines I've been able to highlight, copy and past a web address where the pasted result is a clickable link to the website, but this doesn't work for Firefox. I have looked through the settings and other questions online, but found no solution, from what I can see people more often ask about the opposite issue to mine. Is this a limitation of the search engine or am I dumb?

I'm trying to import a password csv file generated by Roboform into firefox password editor. I've exported the csv file from Roboform but when I try to import to the Firefox password page I get: "Incorrect or missing column headers. Make sure the file includes columns for username, password and URL". The csv file does have column headings. Is there a way to do this?

My website is shown as insecure. If I open it with Chrome, it is okay. If my girlfriend opens it from her computer with firefox, it is okay too. What is wrong here?

I just uninstalled firefox for personal use at home (Still use it for work).

I tried to change now given chromium is about to be neutered with ad blockers etc.

This was my feedback - Extremely disappointed and non-functional profile option/s. Wanted to provide feedback that hopefully someone sees, as there is going to be a mass migration to FF soon and if they do NOT fix the below, people will give up fast.

about:profiles is completely useless, because once you sign in with the same firefox account again, it just syncs to the same profile.

Firefox MUST have multiple profile support under 1 login, not combine them. The thought of having to sign up a completely separate second account/email for a second Firefox 'account' with a second 'mfa' token just to separate personal and work is ludicrous.

I want to sign in, pick my profile as personal / work and then it syncs my diff favourites, plugins etc. per profile for work or personal depending where I am, NOT SHARE them all on 1 login. This is not possible and a huge disappointment considering these features are considered basic in other browsers."

Until firefox does this, it is unusable for multi work/private profiles and signing up a second Firefox account is just silly.
