Junk mail started getting moved to a Junk subfolder

For the last week or so, my Junk mail folder (on Local Folders) has remained empty, which is highly unusual. I finally found all the junk mail in a sub-folder of the Junk folder called Local Folders. I have all my accounts set to move junk mail to the Junk folder in Local Folders. Somehow, the Junk folder has had a subfolder created called Local Folders, and all of my junk mail is being moved there. This is without me changing any settings as far as I'm aware.

I've looked all through the account and global settings, and I can't figure out how this happened or how to get it back to the way it was, where just looking in the Junk folder in Local Folders shows all the junk mail. There certainly shouldn't be a Local Folders subfolder of the Junk folder.

Is this a folder corruption issue? Should I manually delete that folder? Any suggestions

I want to set Tbird up so that every email goes into the inbox folder instead of some of them going to the spam folder. My dad is getting many important emails going into his spam folder. He's ok with seeing all of his emails in the inbox and just deleting the spam ones as he goes. Backstory- Dad is 95, with short-term memory impairment, and often forgets to check his spam folder for any actual important messages that should be in the inbox. He asked me to see what can be done. Hello! My husband making a new company online and we just set up the needed emails with domain connected. Thunderbird was installed on two different laptop and all the 5 email got configured on both laptop. We run several test on all to see if it is going all fine sending and receiving on both laptop In one of the laptop when sending emails from thunderbird to gmail with 4 email out of 5 has a problem and at gmail site ends in spam or in one instant does not even deliver. We run a test program but that showed all fine, however emails keep showing up in spam at gmail site. Where is the problem? At the host? or at Thunderbird or at Gmail? What should be done to fix it? Deleted emails not saved in Trash

I was searching for an email that I had just deleted and discovered that the Trash folder connected to my inbox was empty. The one connected to my Local folders, however, was not. I cannot find a setting that would instruct Thunderbird on how long to save emails in the Trash folder and am sure I did not accidentally change anything. Any idea how to fix this?

When we contacted the Google support team, they asked us to contact Thunderbird to know the IP address of Thunderbird which the successknocks.com domain is using.

Can you please help us with the IP address which we add into in our SPF records?

My AOL account has a single SPAM folder; however, in Thunderbird, the contents of that folder are divided between the folders Bulk and Trash. In synchronization settings, I don't see the "Spam" folder of AOL, and in fact when I subscribe or check Synchronization & Storage I don't see the simple "Spam" folder that is on AOL. I don't have ANY filters active in my AOL account in Thunderbird or directly on AOL. I've been using AOL since its inception, and Thunderbird for as long as I can remember as well. I'm not sure when the folder structure of my AOL account on Thundbird changed, probably a couple of years ago. It's not a huge thing, but I'm thinking that if not resolved it could turn into a huge thing.

I'd like to just have the single SPAM folder under my AOL account in Thunderbird just like it is on AOL. No need for it to be split into Bulk and Trash.

Please forgive a very basic question. I think I know the answer but would appreciate having the correct one from the pros.

My wife and I each have Thunderbird installed on our computers. While we each have individual email addresses, we also have one email address we share, and we access it via Thunderbird.

If I'm marking certain messages as junk on my computer, will that designation only apply to my computer or, because of the common email address, will it mark those same messages as junk on my wife's computer?

I love Thunderbird, I think it is an excellent product all round, but one thing that really, really niggles me is that it continually marks certain senders as junk.

I receive Emails from these senders all the time, and often miss Emails because Thunderbird has marked them as junk, and moved them to the Junk folder, which means I don't see them on my mobile devices (IMAP).

I've marked this sender as "Not Junk" at least a thousand times. Each time it accepts my tag, and moves the Email back to the Inbox. However, that doesn't last, as the next Email, or the one after, or the one after that, ends up in Junk again.

I've seen a few posts that protest - this is not Thunderbird's fault, it's your Email provider, but I've already crossed that one off the list as I have white listed the entire domain at the Email provider. So nothing is getting flagged from the Email provider, to hint that it might be junk.

I'm always on the latest version of Thunderbird, and I have adaptive junk filter logging enabled, but it is completely empty of any logs. I also have "Do not automatically mark mail as junk if the sender is in "collected addresses" & "personal address book". I have a number of entries from this domain in the personal address book, as well as *.@domain-name.com, though I'm not sure if that format is correct to capture the entire domain.

Any help on this matter, gratefully received.

Why is it so difficult to block a sender who is spamming me? With other email clients, just one marking of "Spam" is enough to block that sender?

How do I tell Thunderbird to block a spammer?
