Why the download style at firefox 26 are changed?

Some questions:

01. How i can return to old style of downloads?

02. How i can make all the files it downloaded AUTOMATICALLY and instead cleared from download list window? http://postimg.org/image/4tmf23tnj

03. Why every file i download from firefox 26 it has the lock icon? http://s27.postimg.org/ozpx0zpb3/image.png

Both of them DOESN'T happening at firefox 25 and older version.

Hello,

  1. For removing the download history, you can check these two articles Settings for privacy, browsing history and do-not-track and Settings for privacy, browsing history and do-not-track
  2. The padlock icon is the executable that is the default for opening these files. For instance if you downloaded a PDF file, you would see the Adobe Acrobat reader icon, or if you download a Doc file, you would see Microsoft Word icon.

Hope that clarifies.

Thank you

I can see that icon mostly at dll files. And that icon appear ONLY AT FILES I WAS DOWNLOAD WITH FIREFOX 26 not with any older firefox so....

As the other i want to AUTOMATICALLY clear the files instantly after it downloaded so....

Hi fits79, I've noticed the padlock icon on downloaded files, too, also on Windows 7. This seems to be a new feature, but I've only found limited information on it. For example: Downloads getting wrong file permissions on Windows 7 at mozillaZine Forums.

Can with that plugin make download AUTOMATICALLY clear?

Hi fits79, I don't know what triggers the attribute which causes the lock to display, so I wasn't able to find any documentation on why it is appearing now. Do you want to file a bug report?

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/

How i do that exactly so i send the bug support?

And with bug support it send my personal passwords?

No THERE IS NO CHANGE AT ALL........

Hi fits79, if you visit Bugzilla, you will find a form to submit this bug to the developers. It's different than an automated crash report because you decide what information to provide. Please note that you will get email notifications for new comments in the bug and changes to bug status.

I can log in to that forum with that account or i must create a new one?

And how exactly send file with the bugs?

more options

Hi fits79, the bug tracking system is not a forum.

You will need to log in through the Persona system, which uses an existing email account to authenticate you (e.g., a gmail or yahoo account).

I've seen files attached to bug reports, from web pages to images, but I don't have personal experience with attachments myself.

So there ISN'T any way to make INSTANT automatic clear all the download history files?

Like we can do at previews versions of firefox.

more options

This would involve removing the corresponding history items because the Downloads folder merely shows history items that have an annotation that identifies them as a download item.

You may not have noticed this before, but the Downloads folder in the Library did exist since Firefox 8 and stored your downloads independent from the downloads as kept in the classic Downloads Manager that used the downloads.sqlite file, so removing the downloads in the classic Downloads Manager automatically would still have the other set in the Library unless you would clear the history manually or otherwise.

I CLEAR the history every time i exit firefox.

more options

If you clear the history on exit then your downloads history should be cleared as well, but you can't remove items automatically once a download has finished (i.e. only show them as long as the download is active).

more options

Until firefox 25 YOU CAN. From ver. 26 i don't know if you can...

more options

@fits79 - what you are looking for is to remove the history of downloads from Firefox, but not remove the files, whenever Firefox is exited. Is that right? Then that is already possible

  1. You can either open the tabs in private mode - in which case no history is stored
  2. Or you can set the Firefox preferences as mentioned earlier

We want to help you resolve this issue about the history being available and request you to explain the issue a bit more in detail.

Thank you
