Sync tabs gone
I wanted to use sync to transfer my tabs from my previous MacBook to my new MacBook. I reset the previous MacBook and now when I login to the new one, sync does not show any of my previous tabs.

Sounds like you made a mistake. You should've made sure the tabs were in the new laptop before resetting the old one. Now that you are in the new one with no data, that will now sync. Sorry, but it appears your data is gone. Did you ever have your tabs on another device?
