Unable to sync firefox PC to android phone
I am not a geek and I follow all the details of 'how to etc etc' but nothing works and the phone goes into random loops and keeps telling my I cannot sync (I KNOW that). Firefox has no phone number or email system for technical support (or any type of support) just this hit and miss system of 'forums' (or is that fora). I tried to send a bug report but I am NOT signing up for another (geek speak) account just to send you the problem. Please fix this issue - it never used to happen on older versions - how can I roll back my firefox to something that works properly?? You are likely to find that you will be unable to Sync to the copy of Firefox 68 on an Android device. That version of Firefox for Android has not been supported for almost three years.
I recommend that you use the latest copy of Firefox for Android available from the Google Play store.

Can you login to the Firefox Account using the email address and password on the Android phone instead of using the QR code to pair the device ?

Hi Cor-el I don't have a QR code reader so I did try that but when I go to the sync page is says (in red) "Cannot connect. Tap to sign in" at the top - when I am already signed in. When I tap on that I get this URL and the blue circle of death! Tried all the usual reboot, on/off stuff to no avail The PC is set up but the sync seems impossible!

The only real issue I see is this WebSocket error:

If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block content (Adblock Plus, NoScript, DuckDuckGo PE, Disconnect, Ghostery, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin) always make sure such extensions do not block content.

All my extensions are up to date. I disabled them all and it made no difference. As soon as I try to log in and sync as described in the Mozilla help, I still get the urls as above and that blue circle of death. Everything else works fine and logging in on the PC is OK. Doesn't seem to be an add-on issue. Any more ideas please. The computer code means nothing to me, sorry.
Thanks for the help Dropa. I have now tried all of the above and nothing has changed. Still OK on the PC but still going into the blue circle of death with the same urls as before. Everything else works on both my PC and phone and there are no other mozilla bugs on either PC or phone. The weird thing is that it used to work just fine, maybe there has been an error in one of the latest upgrades?

Thanks Paul, despite not being able to use the play store as google keeps saying I need a registered device (when I already have one), I have downloaded an approved apk which has done the trick. The devices paired and synced and now I can play with the new version. Everything hopefully up to date. Strange that I got the enclosed error message at the same time - even though pairing was fine. Cheers everyone from a non-techie!
