Hi, my desktop are mostly the same Firefox images and it's hard to find the one i want. I right click the icon and in properties i found a few images i could use. Is there a simple way to change some of them. I looked online and you have to down loads something, it didn't look easy. I hope I don't have to leave Firefox just to change my icons. Steve

Is this about icons of internet shortcuts on your desktop that open the default browser ?

You will have to change these icons yourself if Firefox didn't add the website favicon, but used the generic Firefox icon.

You can check browser.shell.shortcutFavicons on the about:config page to see if toggling this pref makes a difference.

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can click the button to "Accept the Risk and Continue".

Hi, I followed your directions and when I got to about:config and typed browser.shell.shortcutFavicons there was nothing there. I don't know what that means. Thank you for trying to help. Steve
