Firefox changes my System PDF viewer configuration when it interacts with a PDF, even when just saving the file
My problem is that Firefox keeps changing my System PDF viewer configuration when it interacts with a PDF file, even while saving to the hard drive.
I am running Windows 10, FF 90.0.2 (64 bits). I have Sumatra PDF viewer, Foxit Reader and Drawboard PDF viewer installed in my system. Sumatra is the default PDF viewer.
The order of installation was Sumatra -> Foxit -> Drawboard. Up to Foxit I didn't have any issues.
The problem is as follows: 1) If I download a PDF by pressing "Save" in the dialog box, the file is saved to the hard drive, and when I open it, the system PDF viewer has changed from Sumatra to Drawboard.
2) If in settings I chose "Use Windows Default Application", and I select Sumatra, when I click on a PDF, the "Open With" option shows "Applications\Sumatra.exe". However, when I click "OK", the pdf is opened with DrawBoard, and the system PDF viewer has changed again from Sumatra to Drawboard.
3) If in Settings I chose "Open with Firefox", then the file is opened inside FF and again, the system PDF viewer is changed to Drawboard.
Things I tried: + I have refreshed FF, and nothing changed. + I tried to uninstall Sumatra and reinstall it again and nothing changed.
I had the same problem before with Adobe reader. That is, I had installed Sumatra -> Foxit -> Adobe and the same thing happened. I ended up uninstalling Adobe. The I installed Drawboard and I am having the same issue know.
Thanks!
