Hi Dale, what are you seeing there. Are you getting an error message from the site? Or is the dreaded yellow dot appearing on the Downloads icon indicating the download failed? Something else?

All I got was a blank white window with a Mozilla Firefox header

Hmm, two thoughts:

(A) In case the page redirects, make sure the redirect block is not turned on

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk.

(2) In the search box in the page, type or paste access and pause while the list is filtered

(3) If the accessibility.blockautorefresh preference has a value of true, double-click it to restore the default value of false

(B) Check that Firefox can display PDFs or try a different option

Statements usually are provided in PDF format. You can check how your Firefox is set to handle PDFs on the Options page. See this article: View PDF files in Firefox or choose another viewer.

Thanks for the help. I evidently had the PDF handler set to "save files". I know I changed it to Adobe Acrobat once. Maybe that was in another life. Anyway the file was downloading it's brains out; I had 8 copies of the statement in my downloads directory. Changed PDF handler to Adobe Acrobat. Maybe it'll work like I expected now. Glad you sorted it. There used to be an enormous and rather obnoxious animation when a download was completed. I guess that would have been helpful in this case.
