When clicking "new folder" after adding a bookmark, the text is only editable for a second or two. How do I give it time to allow me to type?

If I create a new folder when adding a bookmark, it initially prompts me to type something in, then very quickly sets itself, so I'll either end up with "New Folder", or a single letter. To fix I've then got to hit ctrl+alt+b, navigate to the folder and rename it, when it should have just let me type a name in initially. I'm using an entirely new profile with relatively few extensions after switching over from Chrome so that probably won't be the issue.

For example if I was to try make a folder called Search and set myself to it, I'd get a list of folders like this: "New Folder / New Folder / S / New Folder / Sea / S / New Folder / Sear / New Folder / S / Search"

Is this problem in the panel that drops down from the star? From time to time users report that even after they start interacting with the panel, it behaves as though Esc was pressed, canceling the current action or removing the panel. I don't know if a cause has been identified for that, or it may vary.

At least I can tell you that if you double-click a folder name in that dialog, you can rename it. (See attached screenshot.)

I'm honestly a bit disappointed with myself for not realizing that haha, but thanks, and yeah it is that particular situation. I'll leave the question up a little while though just in case someone knows an actual fix :)

Are you using Sync?

We have seem issues reported where Sync immediately tries to sync a new folder to the Sync server and doesn't wait until you are finished with creating the folder and its content.

Yeah I just tried disabling Sync and the issue stopped. I've been meaning to switch over on my phone though so I'm gonna have to leave it enabled anyway, don't suppose you happen to know if there's any fix in the works? :)
