Hello,

Love Firefox. Thank you for the work.

I appear to be having issues with 55.03 on my system. I have a Dell Inspiron laptop, AMD FX-9800P Radeon R7 w/ 16GB RAM. I am running Windows 10 x64 15063.68. I am on a domain, under my user profile (though I am a domain admin under another profile). About the only thing clever we are running is redirected folders, including AppData Roaming in case that is relevant.

Symptoms include a blank bookmarks toolbar, blank sidebar, blank Show All Bookmarks pop-up, inability to restore backup files (unable to process backup file), inability to import from html (I can select the html file, but then nothing actually shows up). I have had up to 4 extensions installed, but I have problems in safe mode as well. The extensions were uBlock Origin, LastPass, Privacy Badger, HTTPS Everywhere.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times, with and without add-ons. Sometimes, on reinstall, my add-ons have been present (even though I uninstalled, restarted, reinstalled) without my reinstalling the add-ons.

I have removed all add-ons, of course, in further testing.

I have tried in safe mode. I have refreshed Firefox using the Refresh tool.

No issues from Chrome or Edge.

I have read articles like the following, and attempted to follow the instructions with no luck: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recover-lost-or-missing-bookmarks#w_my-bookmarks-have-disappeared

The other symptom I note is that Firefox is very slow sometimes, with an individual page hanging at load time for what seems to be 5-10 seconds, with the little blue circle apparently frozen. It then loads the page. This behavior is not observed in other browsers.

Interestingly, my Domain Admin profile (also a member of the local administrators group on this workstation) does not appear to experience problems with hanging or bookmarks issues (add-ons are still present after uninstall, restart, reinstall unless I specifically remove them prior to uninstall). The only difference I can detect is that it has local and domain admin privileges, and it does not use redirected folders.

Last little note. When I download files, they do not appear to go into my user downloads folder. they are visible in the downloads arrow in Firefox, but clicking on show containing folder does not bring up Windows File Explorer and manually opening up Windows File Explorer and going to Downloads does not show the files, even though they appear to have downloaded (eg - I downloaded a Fedora iso and it took about 5-10 minutes and showed the download progress and looked like it finished, but I can't find the *.iso when searching my entire system). I was able to work around this issue by selecting the option to 'Always ask you where to save files', and selecting a different folder on my C: Drive or mapped network drive.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am guessing there is an issue with the redirection that I have not observed in previous versions of Firefox.

Is there a download link for 54?
