I tried using Firefox Private Browsing today. This disabled my Nortion Internet Security. Is there a way to fix this? I checked my Add-Ons and they say that Norton is fine.

Norton runs in the background on your operating system, regardless of your browser or what it is doing. It's possible your Norton add-on got disabled? Those add-ons are useless and do nothing to improve your security (and can actually open you up to security holes) so we usually suggest you remove them anyway.

Couldn't agree more with Tyler Downer  !

Mac OS has excellent built-in security software - that, plus the best browser on the planet (Firefox, what else) : it's like being in Fort Knox  !

MacOS has no built in security software, and it is not more secure than Windows. Running Norton on Mac is fine, the add-on in Firefox is not the antivirus portion of Norton and is useless.

Those are not equivalent to Norton, and the myth of a "secure" MacOS should not be spread.

Anyway, getting off topic.
