Can't Compose Emails!
Hi,
Starting about 2-3 weeks ago after an update if I remember correctly I haven't been able to compose emails with Thunderbird. If I try to write, reply or forward then the window to compose the email opens fine but without signature which then takes another 5 seconds to load (used to be instant) and then the main body and subject can't be edited.
I've tried reinstalling but this didn't make any difference, the only thing that works is if I start in safe mode but then spell check doesn't work which I find handy to pick up typo's.
I'm using a Mac and had thought updating to OS Sierra might make a difference which it didn't.
Any idea's would be most appreciated.

Please post your Troubleshooting Information.
At the top right of the Thunderbird window, click the menu button 
, then select Help > Troubleshooting Information.
Press the Copy text to clipboard button and paste the information into your reply.

In safe mode extensions are disabled. Your only extension is Lightning (the calendar). I have no idea how Lightning would impact the compose window,
Are you actually using Lightning? Can you try to disable it via Add-ons Manager?

So you removed Lightning and still have the problem in normal mode.
Can you try safe mode again?
