there are 3 versions of fire fox with different dates installed on my computer
I have 3 firefox icons on my desktop. when I right click and go to properties they each have a different install date. And you can open the browser from all three. my main problem is when I start the browser it freezes for up to two minutes. That has never happened. I think the latest version of firefox could be the problem. My os is windows 7 and I need it to be compatible with yahoo

Let’s do a full clean re-install; Download Firefox For All languages And Systems {web link} Save the file. Then;
Using your file browser, open the Programs Folder on your computer.
Windows: C:\Program Files C:\Program Files (x86) Mac: Open the "Applications" folder. Linux: Check your user manual.
Do Not remove the profiles folder.
Look for, and rename any Mozilla or Firefox program folders by adding .old to them. Do not rename the Mozilla Thunderbird folder.
After rebooting the computer, run a registry scanner. Then run the installer. If all goes well, remove the OLD folders when you are done.
If there is a problem, start your Computer in safe mode and try again.
You can remove all copies of the Firefox desktop shortcut and only leave the shortcut with the name of the current Firefox release (46.0.1) if there is such a shortcut. Otherwise you can create a new desktop shortcut.
