How can I sync apps that are not signed by this bullshit..

Not even half of my apps get synced, so then whats the point of sync now destroying everything with this sign bullshit,

You know, everyone hates it, search at google, there is a way around it to keep using unsigned apps.. well OK.. else I would have left firefox already, but still most my apps don't get synced

Is there another sync service that works, or is there a way to get all my apps synced?

If no, then firefox can go to hell like many people on google already said since this sync shit..

Sync doesn't actually "synchronize" extensions. It installs new extensions on a newly added device based upon what the user has installed - but only those extensions that are hosted at the official add-ons website. Unsigned add-ons from other websites would need to be manually installed; Sync won't handle them.

IMO, it is easier to just copy an existing Profile over to another device than to use Sync, especially when you're using more than just a few simple extensions.

Hmm OK, then I don't really need this sync stuff.. Then I use dropbox, putting my firefox profile on dropbox, and cancel this sync stuff.. Its not working anyway, extremely dissapointed in firefox again..

Only problem is.. dropbox don't support raspi (yet)....

Shit...

Instead of this signing apps (extensions) they should remove 90% of the extensions and get some stuff there ppl can use..

all junk and kids stuff totally useless..

If you don't find Sync useful, then don't use it. I make a copy of my Profiles, and in addition to having a copy on a back-up external drive I have a copy hidden on my website. I don't trust "cloud services".

As far as "signing" goes, I think it was instituted far to late considering the code of it has been "baked into" Firefox since Firefox 2.0 [or maybe even Firefox 1.5] but never used. IMO, if Mozilla completed that feature years ago we wouldn't be seeing such draconian measures as were adopted last year; I feel that users may have had a "switch" to disable it, at least for installation and maybe self-signed extensions may have been allowed. But that didn't happen and Malware took over too many extensions, and ruined it for everyone.

It's a matter of personal opinion about what is "useful" and what's not. "Somebody" has a use for every extension that has ever been made, otherwise those extensions wouldn't even exist. Be thankful that the Add-ons website isn't an "App Store" where you have to "pay" for extensions.

But that is all going to change. By early next year after XUL is gone from Firefox, and "web extensions" take hold in Firefox, every extension out there will probably need to be re-written. My guess is that 80% to 90% of currently available extensions will just plain disappear, and given the slow action by extension developers with the "signing" feature in 2015 it may take the whole of 2017 for many extensions to become available again.
