firefox crashing
firefox seems to crash constantly and without warning. There isn't a pattern, or at least not one that i am aware of. I suspect it to be the Shockwave plugin as i see v16 as well as v17. And when i disable the v16 it also disables v17. THough I'm unsure if that is the cause it is my best guess. It sometimes gives me a few minutes without incident but there are also times when i dont even have time to so much as a few seconds. Firefox has sent in over a dozen reports but i have yet to find a solution online, and i have been looking for several weeks. The only other information that i thnk might be relevant is that the Shockwave v16 on my addons manager shows that it is vulnerable and i should update it, however i have v17 so i dont know if thats the issue or if its only a glitch. someone please help me

Get rid of that Shockwave Flash 16.0 r0 plugin. Flash doesn't always clean up after itself when doing an update.
You can find the Path to that plugin in about:plugins - then delete it.
Or use the Adobe uninstaller from here to remove all versions of Flash from your PC and start anew http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html
You can download the latest versions of Flash from here. Select Plugin-based browsers - the EXE version. https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html
Run the Flash uninstaller program, then reboot your PC. Then install the Plugin version of Flash. So you'll have a clean installation of Flash for Firefox.
Try to delete the pluginreg.dat file in the Firefox Profile Folder and maybe addons.sqlite as well to reset the plugin registry databases.
See Re-initializing the plugins database:
You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)
I have tried both of your suggestions. I no longer have the shockwave plugin but the problem is still there. I get one of those reports but i am unable to understand it, i'm including the error message below as copy and paste:

This report also contains technical information about the state of the application when it crashed.
I must point out that i see it says something about youtube, but it happens on what seems like every site, this is just an example i acquired to show the general error message. Hopefully this helps
