This article only applies to users of Firefox on Windows.
Directly after the update to Firefox 43.0.3, users with G DATA security software running on their system might be impacted by Firefox crashing repeatedly during startup. Affected users should download and install the latest version of Firefox from the Firefox download page to fix this problem.
G DATA is releasing a fix for this crash as part of their signature updates too, so please make sure that all components of your security software are up-to-date.
As a temporary workaround, affected users can also disable the BankGuard component within their G DATA product:
- Go to the Settings panel of your G DATA product by clicking the cogwheel button
in the user interface.
- Go to > in the G DATA Settings panel.
- Disable the BankGuard browser protection setting and click .
Afterwards try launching Firefox again.
