As much as I hate ads on YouTube I don't want Firefox to block the ads because if they find out you are blocking ads they will block you from Google and YouTube. I have Google pages and other things on their sites that have been there for years. Plus, I feel like I'm stealing a service by not lets the ads run that pays their bills and the content creators on YouTube. Please tell me where in Firefox I can turn the ads back on.

I have used Mozilla products since Netscape Navigator came out in 1995 I think it was. I went to a local internet provider and brought home a 3.5in Diskette and it loaded Netscape Navigator with my info all filled in for email, Usenet, Webpage publishing and a few Bookmarks to get started. I still use SeaMonkey for my email because it still has email addresses from the 1990's. I have Thunderbird for email on my phone. Anyway, thank you for all your work over the years. I’m using Firefox 156.0 (76745) on iOS 26.7. I cleared all private data, including website data, but when I reopen Firefox, it still shows the previously opened website on the splash screen. I tested this more than three times, and the issue occurs consistently.

I hit the "Clear Private Session" icon, confirm, but then I have to go to:

Open Settings >

Privacy and Security >

Browsing Data >

Clear Browsing Data >

"Everything" (every check box has to be checked) >

Clear.

I have Firefox in permanent Private Browsing only, and Privacy and Security Settings are set to Strict / Do Not Fix any site problems.

Why does Firefox retain browsing site data even after I exit out of Fiirefox completely unles I do all of the above?

So I am unhappy that two 'strange' organisations have some of my personal details.

No fault of anyone, but me, I just got carried away in the security I felt using Mozilla

F Focus enabled on Safari. Any effect on icloud relay. Advanced data protection on Safari not enabled yet as phone(SE 3rd generation able but older Ipad not. Safari barely shows trackers (4 in the last 30 days. Only in the mid 100-200 prior to that. Total contrast to the thousands listed on FFocus if used as an stand alone browser from the app. if Firefox normal (app also downloaded)is used as default browser instead of Safari is icloud relay, and advanced data protection of Safari not avaliable while using Firefox. Synchronisation between devices isnt a concern nor multiple tab management for me. Thanks for your help

How would one purge their cookies, search history, tab data while resetting/randomising identifiable information (for example if Firefox were to give each user a serial number or unique tag which it hands to webpages), all without resetting a users a user's browser settings, about:config & browser extensions downloaded (and extension settings). I am using Debian GNU/Linux, so bear in mind that I will be using the most stable version of Firefox on the Debian repos, not the newest version. I do not have a command line phobia, I am willing to do a lot of initial setup & run a specific command every time I launch the browser, even if said command is long. My current system involves rm -rfing the profile on a browser, but this is not optimal because it removes settings & extensions.

Thank you verry much for your assistance, I know this is a large undertaking and it a little overboard on the privacy and security front.
