When I bookmark a website and select edit, it does not show my created bookmarks to save too, nor can I move existing bookmarks to created folders, why not? I have to create a folder, then select all my existing important bookmarks and save them to the created folder. I can not later add any saved bookmarks to the created folder, why not? The Beta version has the same issue. Please make a change to allow for bookmark saving or moving to created folders. Thank you.

I realized that all the bookmarks I had saved for years are now missing when I search using the browser. I did find them in other locations, but how can I see specific bookmarks that are missing?

I just downloaded this browser and it keeps adding websites that I’ve visited to my bookmarks without asking. I’ve added the image below and I didn’t add the last three bookmarks. They just showed up. The last one is from this website asking me to sign into my account and even that got added to my bookmarks. How do I stop this?

So i have bookmarks i don't need anymore and when i click on the ones i want to delete i cant remove it... and so I googled how to remove it and this showed up and you delete everything maybe? Cause i need to bookmark stuff i need to see and use just help me please I'm begging you please.

I'm getting the following error message:

I don't know what prompted this concern on my Windows 11-based laptop, but I only noticed this last night doing some research for another issue. I don't have any of my bookmarks showing up in the bookmarks section, nor will it allow me to click the star on any tab to bookmark the page. I have restarted and shut down my laptop several times and this is not solving the concern. Let me know if you need more information or if I need to start this inquiry again elsewhere, but again it sounds like the same concern.

I have included a screenshot of the exact error for accuracy's sake. Like everyone else here, I'm trying to get my bookmark and history access back up and running but not sure how to go about it.

I couldn't get past the first fix suggestion because I am not sure how to restart Firefox (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fix-bookmarks-and-history-will-not-be-functional?as=u&utm_source=inproduct&redirectslug=The+bookmarks+and+history+system+will+not+be+functional&redirectlocale=en-US). I have restarted my laptop several times but the issue still persists.

Ironically, I am not having this issue on my older PC that is still operating on Windows 10. I can view history and access or add bookmarks with no concern to my knowledge.

i cant save any bookmarks , as i seem to be blocked by something in firefox , i have rest , refreshed fire fox and i have uninstalled and reinstalled , still have the same problem

Roughly one third of my bookmarks all changed to sites I have visited recently. They still have the same labels, but when I click on them, they just take me to some random site I've visited recently.

i have saved initial searches i did in firefox as bookmarks in the bar under the search bar. i have now setup a seaparate bookmark folder to save these website bookmarked links into. if i reopen each of the initial bookmarks and save the link using the blue star process into the new bookmark folder i created, will that link become permanent? and can i then delete the initial links that sit on my firefox under the address bar and the newly saved links in the new bookmarks folder be still available?

All of a sudden I cannot save bookmarks. Neither the instruction "To bookmark a page, just click on the star in the address bar." or using the "Bookmark Current tab..." in the Bookmarks menu do anything. Trying either method just sits there and does nothing.

I have lost my Bookmarks toolbar. It is present in Manage Bookmarks but the toolbar appears blank, with no icons, on the main page.

I have gone thro all the advice here to no effect.
