Somebody better answer me as I am about to switch my default browser from Firefox to something else. I have already asked this question but never received any response. For a long time now I keep running across sites that do not work on Firefox. It can be a streaming site such as Paramount+ or it could be my phone service site Ting. In all of the cases and there have been quite a few I am always able to find another browser the sites will work on. 9 times out of 10 they will work on Chrome but I have found at least one that does not work there but will work on Edge. So, right now Edge is the prime candidate to switch to. I do not want to quit as it would be a pain in the ass as I have been a loyal user for at least 15 years and have stuck with you as I believe in what you are doing and represent but it is becoming to much of a pain to continue using you because I like the convenience of using only 1 browser 99% of the time. When trying to use one particular website on Firefox, I get a message that I am blocked because of an ad blocker but I have not turned on any ad blocker in Firefox. How do I find out if an ad blocker is enabled on my Firefox and, if so, how do I turn it off? I have ensured that the ad blocker option in settings is unchecked and even added this web site to permissions but to no avail. Can someone help? Here is the message I get but none of the steps in this message I am told to take show up on my screen:

I would like Firefox to save my usernames for sites, but not the passwords. However, Firefox insists that I supply a password before it will save the account details, and if I supply a dummy password, then it will not let me later edit the account and delete the password. I like to remember my own passwords rather than store them anywhere.

I have tried password managers and they are overbearingly controlling, particularly given that they don't store my passwords let alone my 2FA details, so I'd rather just use Firefox's less onerous, built-in system, if only it would allow me to save an account without a password. Surely saving a username without a password is a safe option, so why block it?

I have two notebooks with Firefox (NB1 and NB2). NB2 rebooted and Firefox restarted losing all open tabs; now I would like to bring the tabs from NB1 to NB2; both have synchronisation enabled, but when I go to ‘Settings, synchronisation’ on NB2 it says ‘Synchronising in progress’ and nothing happens. I've also tried going to NB1 and sending a tab to NB2; I select NB2 and nothing happens.

I've been having this annoying popup about XULRunner encountering an error. From what I've read, XULRunner is a legacy integration with Firefox. Sure enough, I see Mozilla Firefox installed. But un-installing it doesn't help. Soon, it is re-installed, and the error comes back. I have a feeling that some application is using XULRunner and Firefox as a component, but I don't know what it could be. Is there any way to find out, and stop that application from installing Firefox and XULRunner? Or at least getting its problem fixed?

google apps block pops up in upper right corner of gmail each time I change focus without selecting it

I have cleared cache and history. Still pops up. This happened after the last update to Firefox.

Firefox should definitely add a dedicated option in the toolbar to make switching between profiles easier. Currently, the only way to do this is through the "about:profiles" tab, which is much less convenient than the profile switching options in other browsers

The Adobe Acrobat Add-On Extension for Firefox was missing so I attempted to add it from Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017. I have had to do this manually by installing from the adobe_acrobat-1.0-windows.xpi file. This usually has worked. When i tried to add it this time is said the add-on file was corrupt.

I tried uninstalling and redownlading AdobeAcrobatPro 2017 thinking this would add an uncorrupted file and got the same the same message. Unfortunately, because I had used the Adobe license key too many times for Acrobat 2017 on my computer I had to upgrade to Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020. i had hoped this would solve the problem. But no, I get the same message corrupt file message even with a new copy of the Acrobat Pro 2020.

What is going on? Can anyone help with this?

Seemingly straightforward searches through the options like:

• "Reset firefox"
• "Clear cookies"
• "Empty cache"

None of these things pull up any results when searching the settings... Why?

I have gone to sites that already have my stored password. The saved password is not populating. I deleted the password. When I go back to the same site, it did not ask to save my password even though the option is selected is settings. This started after the recent update.

Ever since the last Firefox update that released, the Firefox on my home computer is extremely slow. Takes 5 minutes to load a page. I open Chrome or Edge and everything loads extremely fast no issues. I do not want to leave Firefox as it is my favorite browser and has been for many years. What can I do to troubleshoot this issue?
