Dear Mozilla,

As a long-time Firefox user and evangelist, it saddens me that the time has come to part ways.

I have seen threads from others commenting on Firefox's aggressive memory consumption and retention. I have not measured this and thus do not feel qualified to comment, but, sadly, I am not surprised.

My own experience in recent times highlights 2 events that have driven me here.

1) Several websites just not responding in that some screens will not even scroll. This is fixed by me moving to a different browser.

2) More seriously - When trying to fill in a web form for a work job application the page was completely unresponsive. When I contacted the web site support their answer was: "Are you using Firefox? Ah, Yes, we are having issues with Firefox that we are trying to resolve. Our suggestion for the time being is, if practical, try using a different browser". That answer worked.

I should add that the usual cache clearing, machine restarts, even Firefox reinstall did nothing to fix either of the above issues.

So with the serious memory greed issues reported by others and my own (dys)functional experiences, I fear the time has come.

The website commonly used by Arizonans to make filings for court, will not work properly with Firefox, even after turning off Enhanced Tracking Protection. I had to use Chrome instead.

I’m experiencing ongoing problems with Firefox and hope to get some help or clarification here.

Main issue: I’m unable to sign in to my Outlook / Microsoft email account using Firefox. The login page does not load correctly, or the sign-in simply fails (Error 400). When I use another browser (for example Microsoft Edge), the login works without any issues.

System information:

Operating System: Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2021 (LTSC, supported until 2032)

Firefox version: 147.0.3 (64-Bit)

Additional problems: Besides the Outlook login issue, Firefox has recently become more problematic during normal daily use:

Text selection with the mouse often does not work correctly

Clicking and dragging to highlight text is unreliable or stops working

Pages sometimes feel unresponsive, (ChatGPT)

Overall, the browser feels less stable than older Versions on Windows 10 22H2

These issues seem to be getting more frequent over time and occur on multiple websites, not just Outlook.

I switched my system to Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2021 (LTSC, supported until 2032) in the hope of improved performance and stability.

What I have already tried:

Clearing cache and cookies

Disabling all add-ons/extensions

Testing in Private Browsing mode

Restarting Firefox

Unfortunately, none of these steps resolved the problems permanently.

My questions:

Is Firefox fully supported on Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2021 / LTSC for the long term (until 2032)?

Are there known issues with Microsoft / Outlook sign-in specifically in Firefox?

Are there known stability issues (text selection, mouse interaction, page responsiveness) in recent Firefox versions?

What settings or troubleshooting steps are recommended to improve stability?

The most recent update has caused an issue with LinkedIn. The problem only occurs with Firefox, not with Chrome or Edge. Do you know what it is? How to fix it? The profile photos are being overwritten with the name of the person and title.

Thank you for the prompt reply and I'm sending it back to English I have a problem with the yahoo.mail account. While I log in normally when I'm on google on mozilla I can't log in and while it accepts the passwords. He gives me an answer: " Technical problem. Right now we can't connect you try some other time " I spoke with help YAHHO . I did everything prescribed but nothing. It took me to the solution of the subscription. Can you help? Thank you

I have updated my firefox on W11 laptop to the latest version 147.0.3 (64-bit) but it cannot show any pictures from some, but not all, sites. Not from www.svt.se nor from www.yr.no But its ok from other sites, as www.tradera.com and www.kjell.com

It works fine using android firefox version 147.0.3

Any ideas, anyone?

Answer: Thanks for flagging this. We’re aware that some parts of the newsletter may not display correctly in Firefox, while they do load in other browsers. Unfortunately, this is a browser-specific issue and not something we’re able to control on our end.

For some reason there appears to be an issue between my gmail account and Mozilla/Firefox. When I delete an email, the email below it is also deleted, then I have to dig it out of the trash. It doesn't happen with every deletion, but almost all of them. It's been going on for a few weeks now and is most annoying. Any suggestions for how to cure this issue? Appreciate any help you can provide! Linda

I cant get Pandora to load with Firefox . I am in Mexico and have been using the Browsec VPN to listen to Pandora and all of a sudden it stopped loading. I get the blue screen with Pandora logo but it doesnt go past that. Pandora works on Edge with the same VPN Browsec .

I have an issue where Confluence stops working after a while.

The issues are as follows:

• Opening a link will work and show the page.
• After about 5 seconds, the page will turn black.
• Using the search bar does not work, no results show.
• Trying to expand items in the sidebar does not work.
• Clicking on a link in the sidebar does work, but it too will turn black after the same 5 second delay.
• You can't edit pages.

I have found two ways to temporarily fix the issue.

• Clear the cookies for Atlassian.net.
• Go into the inspector, switch to the Network tab, tick "Disable Cache" and reload the page.

Unfortunately, this only fixes it for a week or two until it comes back.

This is not specific to any one Confluence instance. Once one stops loading, all (that we have tried) stop loading.

Uploading/posting files via the Firefox browser on my laptop to Instagram does not work. It's been stuck on this window for 15 min (I'm using another PC for other work). The only reason I need firefox is to do this action. I don't want to use IG's mobile app for anything. I don't want to use any other browser because IG has me flagged with other browsers — they included my previous IG account in it's random ban via it's AI clean up of accounts for simply posting photos of surfers at a competition —( but that's for another topic for another day).

I'm having problems getting Firefox to work in Protonmail un able to send emails ...Copy& Paste......I think it is this New Version.............When I removed it from my applications & downloaded Google Chrome it all worked, that tells me the problem is with Fire Fox version I think
