So I downloaded Firefox and logged in expecting my bookmarks to carry over after I "sync'd" it, however the did not. So I went to my old pc and did the export bookmarks thing and imported it to the new pc.

Now.. I have all my bookmarks and everything appears great. Except whenever I open a link from say my work it opens a Mozilla window that doesn't have my bookmarks. When I try to combine the windows It doesn't let me. I am also scared of losing access to the Mozilla with my bookmarks as I work from home using those. (the desktop shortcut to Mozilla opens the one without all my work)

In the attached screenshot things to note, the bookmark bar available on left isn't there on the right. Additionally in the taskbar (bottom) it shows Mozilla in two distinctly separate icons. When two Mozilla windows are open, they share the same icon on the taskbar, these do not, which leads me to believe I have two incompatible versions existing next to each other.

I have a firefox Account "accountA" which has the primary eMail-Address "mailA". I had an other Account "accountB" with primary eMail-Address "mailB" and secondary eMail-Address "mailC". Sadly I lost access to "accountB" and it's primary Mail-Address "mailB" (which is ok) but want to change the Mail from "accountA" to "mailC".

However, this is not possible since "mailC" is locked to "accountB" which I can no longer access (since I need the primary Mail Address. This meens I can never again use "mailC" for my Firefox account, which is now my primary Mail-Address. Is there should be a way to disconnect a Mail-Address from an account, if one has ownership of this Mail-Address?

I've gone down a rabbit hole of authentication in regards to Sync with Firefox. I'm wondering if I can regenerate a recovery key by removing the recovery key from my account and then choosing to re-enable a recovery key on my account? I do have the password for my primary email on my account, but I can't find the recovery key value for it.

I also have a secondary email on my account that I don't have a password for, and need to reset a password for it, but one problem at a time...

From the subject line - I keep getting this error when trying to use Firefox Sync on my Windows 10 desktop. Sync already works on Mac and Android, and I've already verified that I'm using my primary email to login.

I synced my firefox with my laptop before I wiped the drive and reloaded windows 10. I have reloaded firefox and signed it but it doesn't bring any of my bookmarks back in. Any suggestions how to restore?

Hi, I used to use Firefox on my Lenovo laptop, but now using an iPad instead. Although I cam login, it appears that all synced accounts and passwords are gone. Please advise how I may retrieve my password that I have saved.

Hi, I posted a question about my browser history being deleted recently, but I also remembered that had Firefox Sync on. I was wondering if there was some way to use Firefox Sync to grab my old browser history before it was corrupted? Thanks!

The title pretty much sums it up. I even tried drastic measures such as logging out then completely uninstalling Firefox and removing any leftover data on both platforms. After reinstalling and connecting to the Firefox account they will sync with previous data but any new data I add on Windows won't show up on Android and vice versa. I also obviously tried forcing a sync manually... I really wish I didn't have to switch to another password manager any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

I have activated Firefox Sync and "delete cookies on close" and I have noticed that the URLs I have set up exceptions for do not sync across my devices, thus having to re-enter them on every device.

Is this by design or can I do something about it?

I am a game developer. I work about 12 hours a day, in Chrome. It is my main browser. When I installed firefox, I was asked to "import" cookies and such. I did. Which has been a terrible headache. All of the bookmarks and everything from Chrome came with it, which I already had in firefox, since I've had it for years. But, I thought since this is a brand new computer that I needed to do that. Fast-forward a couple of weeks and now EVERY time I open up firefox, all 10 million history links are in history.

I use firefox to unwind and watch movies. I don't want 10 million links to work in front of where I left off in binge watching Seinfeld.

I've tried everything and followed instructions and STILL, all history from Chrome shows up in firefox. It is infuriating. AND uninstalling and reinstalling did nothing. The setting is already in the account to import from Chrome to firefox. I've removed addons and extensions as well. Nothing has worked.

Hi. I bought new pc, and i'm trying to set up mozilla with all my passwords and bookmarks, from old pc. But after i logged in, bookmarks and passwords dont appear in a browser. I had so much important stuff there that im now kinda scared. Thanks for any help in advance

I wanted to use sync to transfer my tabs from my previous MacBook to my new MacBook. I reset the previous MacBook and now when I login to the new one, sync does not show any of my previous tabs.

I recently had to factory reset my computer and had to download and sync my firefox account all over again. It's been a week and firefox is still syncing, none of my bookmarks, add-ons, history or top sites on the new tab are showing up. Thankfully, it appears that most of my passwords have been synced.

I've read some other threads for tips and can confirm that I don't have this account logged in to other devices and I don't have a vpn or proxy running. I am able to obtain the sync logs but I have no idea how to read it.

I want to transfer my bookmarks from Firefox on my old Windows laptop to a new MacBook. I have followed the instruction and signed into Firefox on both devices and click 'synchronise now' on my Macbook.

Nothing has happened.

I would be grateful if you could tell me whether I am doing things incorrectly and if you could tell me how to have my numerous Firefox bookmarks from Windows appear on the new Macbook.

I have a question regarding syncing. Is there a way to remotely remove all synced information from Firefox on a particular PC without actually accessing it? For example, if I sync my home PC Firefox with my laptop or my work PC. Then, one day, for some reason I no longer have access to my work PC, and all of my sensitive information is there. Or if I lose my laptop, or if it is stolen... Is it possible to remove all sensitive information from a remote synced PC? Alternatively, is there a way to remove all synced information every time I close the browser? This way I can remove a particular PC in my Firefox account and once the browser is restarted at the remote location, the data will no longer be pulled and synced. Can this be done? Hi, I create an account to sync Bookmarks, Passwords, Add-ons, History etc from one computer to an other. I successfully created the account, verify mails, checkbox all features to sync in settings, and click on "sync' multiple times. But nothing is synced on my new computer. When using "send tab to device", the submenu previously showed all synced devices, in my case, more than 10 devices. Recently it only shows 4 devices and there is no way to access the other ones. Is this broken or is it a recent change? If so, can I revert the behavior with a preference?

Under "manage devices", I still see all of my synced devices, they just don't show up in the "send to device" submenu.
