This problem exists ONLY on Firefox. I vary search engines, from DuckDuckGo to Presearch and Startpage depending on the search results I get.

For no apparent reason I will get a "suspended connection" message on Startpage while using the Firefox browser. I have included both the link and a screenshot of the problematic page. The page will open perfectly several times, and then suddenly, in the same session, if I open a new Startpage tab, this message will appear. While the suspended connection message is visible in Firefox / Startpage, I will try Startpage in Edge, Opera, Chrome and Midori, and they all open to the Starpage beautifully.

I am using the Firefox 125.0.3 browser, I have cleared caches and cookies, and run full malware scans, with zero negative results, and yet this problem persists. It is sporadic, and does not occur on a predictable basis. It occurs whether the Mozilla VPN is on or not, and switching from on to off or off to on changes nothing, even after refreshing the page.

I am assuming that this is a Firefox issue, as the problem does not occur on other browsers

I can easily switch browsers and / or search engines, but Firefox in conjuction with Startpage is my preferred combo. I just find it frustrating in that I cannot fix it myself.

My company recently started using ActivTrak Monitoring software and I need some help configuring the setup for Apple computers. I'm trying to create a custom .mobileconfig to automatically turn on the browser extension and then stop the end users from turning the add-on off. I can successfully install and lock the extension on once installed but need to manually activate the add-on first. What do I need to add to the plist to enable the extension automatically?

When accessing my site (in attachment to avoid indexing), Firefox blocks with a "Possible security risk" interstitial. DoH requests to the configured https://dns.google/dns-query service work from an external application on the same machine as the browser, but about:networking#dnslookuptool reports the host being unknown.

I can add the short cuts I want but if I go someplace new Firefox will add it to my shortcuts without permission. This seems to be a new problem, and I don't like it! Then if I dismiss or delete from history its still not removed! Very annoying and may cause me to ditch Firefox for good!

This isn't the first time this has happened. After each occurrence, I have to completely uninstall the browser and reinstall it from scratch. This means I have to reopen all my tabs, which is very annoying. In Chrome, I have had a large number of tabs open for many years and it works fine.

With Mozilla, something terrible is happening... I have many tabs open in Mozilla, and there comes a moment when, upon launching the browser and opening two or three tabs, Mozilla starts consuming up to 10 gigabytes of RAM. If I open a few more tabs, the browser crashes. I don't need to open 50 or 100 tabs, just 7-8-10 tabs are enough to make the browser crash. Moreover, if I open a new tab and go to google.com, the browser takes a very long time to load, even if it's the second tab.

This problem has happened before. I don't do anything with the browser, just visit sites like YouTube.

Clearing the cache and other recommended actions do not yield positive results. This is very annoying. Mozilla is my first and favorite browser, which I have been using for almost 20 years. I wouldn't want to uninstall Mozilla.

A few days ago I started having an issue where Youtube videos 1440p and up would frequently skip ahead, stutter or freeze and play audio only. They also stopped loading as quickly as they had before. This issue only happens in Firefox as when I watch Youtube on Chrome everything is fine. I've tried disabling extensions to no effect. Is this a known issue or does anyone have suggestions?

you dont need a screenshot. its reral simple i am tired of nothing working right. i have added multiple wallets on my phantom app but it doesnt show up on my phantom wallet on my laptop. i have been hitting check for updates for 2 hours. why wont it update. and if i have to put in a 24 word secret phrase evertime i want to update my extension. then good bye firefox. then why have a check fofr updates button.

Tenho o Win 11 23H2 com Firefox 124.0.1 instalado. Há meses , devo usar o Avast Browser para acessar o Amazon.com.br ou qualquer site do gov.br. Já desinstalei tudo e reinstalei do zero , sem extensões , mas o problema continua. Alguém sabe me ajudar? Desde já agradeço.

I was able to open reddit.com without any problems earlier, but recentrly I'm not able to load it up anymore. The loading screen is eternal and it doesnt show any kind of error (unless it tries to connect for too long like a couple of minutes, then the error does shows up). The site still sends me notificarions through the browser though. Any other site loads up without a problem. I tried to use methods mentioned in the help article (turned off proxy, turned on network.dns.disableIPv6, deleted cookies and cache). In other browsers (Edge, for example) reddit.com loads just fine. Please help me if you can.

I recently facing an issue that the Firefox browser randomly maxed out my RAM and went unresponsive. Like the screenshot below, I am only trying to open Facebook and Instagram, 2 tabs.

I have tried to open about:memory and about:processes to monitor but it just went unresponsive and both the monitoring just hanged.

Have no idea why the Firefox process taking up so much RAM. Need help.

There seems to be something specific to the Phlearn site and Firefox which prevents videos from auto advancing. They either recommence the just completed video or revert to an earlier one.

I had downloaded a couple of pdfs from google drive via private browsing which were stored in my 'Downloads' folder. But as soon as I closed the window the pdfs were deleted. I had also downloaded a zip file which wasn't deleted.

I'm trying to troubleshoot why firefox isn't connecting to my DNS over HTTPS instance running adguard home. Every other device (including another laptop) is able to set the DNS over HTTPS and connect successfully - but my desktop PC instance gets NS_ERROR_CONNECTION_REFUSED. Despite multiple reboots, ipconfig /flushdns, release/renew, etc...

Even my android phone is able to connect to it using the "private dns" feature (uses port 853 instead of 443).

I've been able to verify https access to the DNS server and it's querying successfully. It's just this one instance it won't connect.

Well, since I changed to a new computer with Win 11, videos on Facebook don't play right. They are videos that are posted by various people and real entities. They are not smooth. They start to play and immediately pause then jump forward then pause and jump forward. If I copy the link and go to Chrome, paste the link and play the videos, they are normal Never did that on my old computer. Any ideas why the videos don't play normal?

hello when i write many cell code in google colab and then run all of them when output there and i want to scroll up from last cell code to go to top of page,i have lagging for scroll up in that and this problem just in firefox and in chrome is'nt problem thanks

bold textExperienced Firefox browser session freezes a month or two ago. It seemed that some March/April '24 fixes/patches stabilized the app. They are occurring again with increased frequency. What should I do to avoid this problem or switching to another browser? Thx

When I watch a video not in the full screen mod, the colors are as dark as they're supposed to be (pic 1), but when I enter the full screen mod, the video gets pale/brigher (pic2, compare the dark zones). it's fully connected with hardware acceleration. When it's on videos get pale and when it's off they don't. But I can't turn it off because I also need it for an addon I use as it won't work without it. Someone on the forum here said that turning on layers.force-active might help with a bug of hardware acceleration. I turned it on and it helped - acceleration was on and videos didn't get pale, but then everything got back and now this setting doesn't work anymore. I also opened trouble shooting mode and videos didn't get pale with it even with acceleration on, but I don't know why, becaues when I closed it I deleted all the extensions, turned on acceleration and videos got pale again. And, this problem is only in this browser. This problem really keeps my up at night and I'm so tired of it
