how do I make the bookmarks drop-down menu narrower so I don't have to scroll all the way across the page to the sublistings

I'm using a laptop so it's very awkward to have to move the cursor carefully all the way across the bookmark menu listings window to the sublistings window. Is there any way of narrowing the menu page or having bookmark subcategories appear right beside the main categories.

if you press ctrl+shift+o firefox will show all the bookmarks ... or in view->sidebar->bookmark (ctrl+b).

This can be caused by bookmarks that have a long title.
You can inspect those bookmarks in the Bookmarks Manager (Library; Show All Bookmarks) and edit the title to make the text shorter.

sorry, there was one that was long and the page shrank when I deleted it. Thank you.
