Bing instead of Google
Hey guys! I just wanted to say, I LOVE FIREFOX 13 BETA. I think its awesome and you guys are definitely moving in the right direction.
On the Firefox Homepage is the Logo and the Google search Bar right in the center of the screen. However, I'd like to us BING instead of google, cuz I really just don't like google anything. Is there a way for me to use BING there in the center, or bing at all? Thank you so much for your help!
P.S. Please tell me you guys are developing an APP for the Windows Phone :3

I don't think that you can find much more information in the Inspect Element' window', but it might actually be easier to simly set your homepage to Bing as I checked the page source and it seems to be a little bit harder than I thought it would be... I think you have a few files to play around with in order to modify the official home page. You could however propose a new Bing alternative and maybe see it coming to life in the next Firefox release with some luck?

unfortunately, I believe that there is no way to change the search bar but to modify the home page document on your own as it is coded this way. Since Firefox is an open-source project, it shouldn't be too hard to find the required resources to do such a modification. A good place to start looking for help would be the Mozilla Firefox IRC (Internet Chat Relay). Please know that the link is set to open with an IRC software, so if you don't have any it might not work. The IRC URL is irc://irc.mozilla.org/MozillaSpaces, if you want to search for it online.

Somewhat, although there isn't anyone online to chat with. Do you know if the change is possible through the "Inspect Element" feature? Or do you know of any other resource that may have something to say about editing?

Thanks Natrist, Yeah I jumped onto Mibbit and I've been speaking with a quite a few fellow JS veterans, and we've been tossing around the idea of add-ons and other things, but mainly the best idea so far has been to submit the suggestion and hope for a feature in the future from Mozilla themselves.
