wmware workstation unity is causing painting issues in FF4

I'm using FF4 rc on windows xp. I am running linux on wmware workstation 7.1.3. When I switch to Unity mode, the browser will not repaint the screen unless I move it off screen and then move it back. Unity mode is where apps running on my my linux desktop can show intermixed with my windows apps. I'm using Nvidia quadro 290 with dual monitors, with latest drivers. If I close my browser, and then switch off Unity mode, I can then start my FF browser and it displays as expected.
