you tube videos are not loading therefore they're not playing

If I google up and play videos, the videos load and play but if I go to you tube, it does not load videos or movies and therefore it does not play. The screen shows up but it is only black...the menu bar to play the video is not there yet all the the related videos are on the side of the screen... I just can't play any one of them...I'm using windows 2000 and my browser is mozilla 3.6...
