Clicking a HYPERLINK in FIREFOX opens a new tab...but with the HOME PAGE, not the desired link.

When I click a HYPERLINK in FIREFOX, it opens a new tab (as desired). However, the new tab does not contain the page which it should connect to. It just contains my HOME page.

This is a new behavior, but I can not determine what setting has changed.

One person has commented that I should "reset" or "refresh" my FireFox, which completely removes all settings and addons. I know I can always do that, but it seems like major "overkill".

Is there any way I can fix this without a total reset?

Thank you,

jp
