As the title says, Firefox throws "We can’t connect to the server at m.imdb.com." error every time I try to open a page while everything else works like Chrome, Edge and when I ping via command prompt I get replies and other applications. (Win 10 64-bit with latest Firefox)

I think it's a system-wide problem but I can't figure out where. I was under the impression that it's a DNS problem but it doesn't even open IP addresses like 192.168.1.1 and it doesn't open instantly, no matter it's Google.com or my router IP, instant error message.

I tried everything I could find which are:

• Refresh, clean re-install with deleting profile directory
• clearing cache and data
• Toggling these in about:config: network.http.http3.enabled, network.dns.disableIPv6, network.dns.disablePrefetch
• Enabling/disabling my adapter
• Running a couple commands: netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt, netsh winsock reset and ipconfig /flushdns
• Setting proxy to None
• Restarting with Troubleshoot Mode (add-ons disabled)
• Removing Firefox entry from Windows Firewall.

I'm sure there are more, these are all I can remember now.

This happened some months ago but can't seem to remember how I fixed it.

The only way it opens sites is with a VPN that sets a system proxy and setting Firefox's proxy to "Use System Proxy Settings".

I am a member of the local library and I sometimes want to search the catalogue or reserve a book from home using my laptop. I have Googled how to put the menbership number and pin as a book mark and it is successful-but only for a short time . The next time I go to log on automatically it doesn't work and I have to input it manually.

I have been to the library and got staff there to put the details in and it works when I am there at the library but fails when I am home.(2 very capable library people tried and both eventually failed)

My library membership number is very long and it is tedious to enter it every time-can you help please? Thanks Peter

I cannot enter the second email address because it keeps telling that that address already exists, yet the settings page says that there is none. and no one has answered any of these postings. so what's the point of all this nonsense? this is pitiful.You guys badmouth chrome yet I've never had a problem like this with them. I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for a reply.

I'm running FF 111.0.1 on a 64 bit ASUS I tried to get on Ebay.com a couple of days ago and when I used my bookmark to open the site the cursor just goes back and forth and the site never opens up. So, I figured that they were having internet issues and just kept trying. Well, it's still not working so I'm trying to find out why. I have my FF set up for the address bar to be "just that" and a separate search window in the tool bar. After trying all kinds of things that did "not" work, I changed my choice of search engine to "ebay" and when I typed ebay in the search window the sight came up with me all signed on (because I leave myself signed on) and everything seems to be working as normal. But, I don't want "ebay" for my search engine and I don't want to have to sign on to ebay that way. What has happened to cause this and how can it be fixed?

I use Chrome for the college where I teach but I know I can use Firefox it I choose to. So, I tried logging into the college site on FireFox but no matter what I do it tells me the password is wrong. It is the password I use on Chrome and is tied to the college site. How do I get it to work in FireFox? What am I missing? Thanks, LucyVan

When I try to open "www.metservice.com" Firefox freezes completely. This did not use to happen and does not on Chrome. I have to restart my laptop to fix the freeze!! As it is a site I use regularly it is somewhat of a nuisance.

Just checking back to see if there has been any new methods developed for dealing with this issue.

When I minimize Firefox in Windows 11, with multiple tabs, and then click on the icon in the toolbar, a list of my tabs pops up. I would prefer Firefox just go back to the window I minimized, preferably with focus on the tab I was viewing when I minimized. I don't understand why this isn't the preferred behavior. Please advise as to how I can force Firefox to reopen the window I minimized, when I click the toolbar icon, instead of presenting me with a list of tabs.

When playing a youtube video, I can hear the audio playing and see the time passing on but the on screen video is just stuck even when buffered full clip. I check on chrome browser, this doesnt happen there. Reset firefox, the issue is still here

I have used Firefox for many years, on a Windows 10 64 bit desktop with DuckDuckGo Search engine. Two websites I subscribe to will not let me use firefox to sign in using Firefox. However Microsoft Edge allows me to sign in. WHY do I have a problem using Firefox?

Do some of my settings need to be changed?

PS Also why is it so difficult finding the version # ? this used to be using the about option and I can't find that anymore.

I just realized that I have been using Zoom Control in Firefox to control items in Outlook. The first thing I log into is Firefox, after that, I log into Outlook 2019 and I use Zoom for Outlook since I have both Taskbars available. Some of it works and some of it doesn't. For example, I cannot change the size of messages I receive and send out. I am not referring to the text size I'm referring to the whole page of Outlook. The Zoom will zoom in or out on other parts of the page in Outlook but not the message section.

If anyone understands this I would appreciate some help. I'm already working with MS Outlook on this as well.

Since the last update various programs we try to play on ITVX.com hang Firefox. Again tonight we ended up having to switch to chrome which behaves ok. End up having to crash FF from Task Manager.

My email screen has gone to a larger page that will not fit on the computer screen, whether in full screen or partial, the inbox is pushed off the left side, and the email previews are so large they extend half the way across from the right side. Previously most of the center was for email lists, but now it is just a small part that will only show two or three emails. How can I change it back the the old format?

Windows11 Firefox 111.0.1 (64 bit) intermittently stops loading page while scrolling. Won't refresh or go back to previous page. No error message. Have to restart Firefox.

Is it FireFox, my NordVPN or PCMATIC that still lets me get thru to my normal websites as well as viewing other websites... OR is something that EPIC (the writers of the MYCHART) for FirstHealth.org and www.firsthealthmychart.org? Can anyone help? This is the ONLY website that will not work for 2 days so far.

You know when you grab a tab, drag it out, and make another window? For some reason it's never worked when dragging to another monitor. When I let go, it doesn't do anything, and the tab stays in the original window.

I used to be able to install an extension, and than see it automatically pin itself on my toolbar now I have to select the add ons and theme icon on toolbar and manually pin each extension I install one by one. I do not want to have to keep doing this. Will someone please tell me what is going on and how to revert this back to how it originally was?
