I tried printing gmail attachments on Firefox with other computers and other printers and it still prints in code. I tried resetting my printer in Firefox, but this did not work. Any help would be appreciated!

In the print dialog box the option 'print each frame' is gone. As someone asked, you can do a right click and print a selected frame. But that's a whole different thing. I want to print all frames on the page at once. I use a PC , if that makes a difference

So how can I get it back? Or do I need to switch browser?

I used to take print to study contents offline and I almost always use Mozilla as a browser. Recently I noticed that I was unable to print a full page in a simple website. Understandable that firefox team has been busy working upon the print bugs, but the page and the website I am referring to is Purely HTML and CSS; and for some reason firefox cuts out the rest of the pages from print except for the first.(i.e) to say it prints only the top part of the page..

Though I work with Ubuntu I have crosschecked with Win8.1 and TOR version of firefox which had the same shortcoming, with the website I was referring to. However other browsers such as the Safari and Chrome seem to do fine with this regard. Kindly check for yourselves and let me know if I am going wrong somewhere. Also please Avoid recommending any add ons to accomplish the task at hand.

The thing is the website I was referring to is of very simple make and may help the team to shoot the bug if any, with an easier test case such as this.

With love and Thanks

I am using Firefox v50.1.0 32bit on Windows 8.1 pro x64.....(Chrome v50 and IE v11) . On a fresh profile (newly created) i tried printing preview for MS-Word 2016 keyboard shortcut page https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Keyboard-shortcuts-for-Microsoft-Word-on-Windows-95ef89dd-7142-4b50-afb2-f762f663ceb2 but it just does not work (see attached images) only prints 3 images(just as it shows in the print view....>changing portrait|landscape|page margins|show back ground etc doesn't change anything) and improperly at that. However it seems to print all the pages in (and correctly at that) in IE and chrome....(both of their print view shows all the pages in their entirety which Firefox doesn't) .. I am using two pdf printers Nova Pdf v8.6 and Tracker PDF-Xchange Standard v7( I am sure both of them are doing their work properly as I can print to pdf exactly as it appears in print preview) Tried using system print dialog box (print.extend_native_print_dialog) but that also doesn't work...Also resetting printer configs doesn't apply to me as profile is fresh.... Is it just me??Any suggestions?? Best Regards

I was examining a Wikipedia page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compartmental_models_in_epidemiology. On the left pane, there is a link for `Printable version`. If I click on it, it doesn't open the printable version of the page. It opens up Firefox's print dialogue window. In order to get a printable version of the page as a webpage in Firefox, I have to right-click the link, select `Copy Link Location`, then paste it into the address bar of a new tab.

can I get Firefox to open the printable version as a webpage by clicking the link, without having to copy and paste the underlying URL?

I am using Firefox version 75.0 (32-bit) on Windows 10 64-bit.

I have tried every other browser on this machine(Safari,Chrome,Opera) and they carry the page title to the filename when saving it as a pdf (Ie "Ask your question to our community of user.pdf" for this page). I have run this browser in safe mode, used a newly created profile but the problem still remains. I ran a new Firefox Developer Edition version which had the same results. Then I ran Firefox 72.0 which did everything as it should. So my belief is there is some bug in 73.0 that is causing this

Printing challenge

My relative does some “searches” and when she finds something she likes, she wants to print a page for reference.

BUT, when she prints a webpage from some websites, the Firefox printer controls are ignored. Meaning, she sets the printer controls to print just the first page, “Print >> Pages from 1 to 1”.

The ensuing pint seems to ignore the controls and the printer may spew 1 to x number of pages.

Yes, the source webpage can be scrolled quite far down, so it will never fit on one print page. Nonetheless, the controls shown above appear to be ignored with the resulting large volume print (e.g.: the entire webpage is sent to the printer” in lieu of just one page.

My relative does not have the finesses to select an area, so an add-on that requires an extra step or two may not be useful.

Sending to a PDF is also problematic as that requires an extra few steps to open, select and print just the first page.

Any thoughts, suggestions?

BTW, the laptop is up-to-date in all regards: OS, applications, drivers, etc.. Its not a cache issue. Its happened over a period of last two years, but I just decided to see/ask if there is a suggested strategy or solution.

Thanks.

Hi,

I have a problem with using a Web-based application.

Before the last FF update to version 76.0, I was able to by-pass the Print Dialog tab after clicking "generate report" link, and instead of automate printing it - save it to PDF file in "download folder" (when I clicked "cancel" button in Print Dialog tab, the <<<yellow stripe>>> appeared at the top of webpage, with the option "save file").

Now, after the 75.0 ==> 76.0 update, the <<<yellow stripe>>> doesn't appear anymore, and I can print the report only by Print Dialog tabl., without ability to save it to my disk drive.

Can I have my "yellow stripe" back? Or do I have to reinstall FF back to version 75.0?

The body of the email prints okay but Firefox will not print a received or sent email which shows the attachments which appear on the email. In Yahoo the attachments are in blue but even the black text which states there are attachments does not print. Is this a Firefox problem or a Yahoo problem? Anyone have an answer? Aspen

Just got a used Dell Optiplex GX520 computer running Windows XP with a Canon printer. I can print from MS Word or MS Xcel fine, but keep getting a Crash message when using Firefox. Firefox was installed when I got the computer. I tried the "about:config" solution and there is no entry for "print_printer". Then I uninstalled Firefox, restarted the computer and re-installed Firefox. Tried printing and got the same problem.

Any suggestions on how to proceed.

This is on OSX 10.12.6. I am an 'admin' user on the Mac.

This problem happens only on my own OSX login account: printing works fine from other login accounts (who are also admin-level users) on the same computer.

If I try to print a regular page I get the following results: 1) I see the "print" dialog (select the printer, single-sided or duplex, etc.). When I press "Print" I see: 2) Print Preview Error: an error occurred while printing. When I press "OK" I see: 3) Print Error: An error occurred while printing.

I tried to fix this in three ways and in the following order: (a) starting in safe mode; (b) stoping and restarting using the Refresh Firefox option; and (c) creating a brand new profile. None of these fixed the problem. I still am unable to print, and I get the result described above.

Does anyone have any other options to consider? I really don't want to lose my history, bookmarks or stored passwords!
