I have found that after a short time Firefox stops displaying images in Facebook and only shows a description of what it thinks the image is. I have Firefox version 95.0.2 (64-bit) with Windows 10 with the latest updates installed. I have a Dell laptop with an i7 cpu and 63 GB of RAM. This does not occur with other browsers. Reloading the page does not fix it, only a complete shutdown and startup of Firefox.

Suddenly the backgrounds to many Firefox screens - browser, history, settings - changed from white to black. This makes it very difficult for me to read whats on these screens. How do I change them back to white?

The browser screen was black and I did that "about:config" thing and toggled the "browser.proton.enabled" to False which converted the background of the browser to back to white but all the other drop down menus are still black. The bookmark toolbar menu is black, the background of the hamburger menu is black, and the "customize menu" background is black. These areas are now difficult for me to see.

When FF developers start fooling around with colors in the FF browser they need to tread lightly and be aware of all accessibility problems their users may have. Where accessibility is concerned, one size doesn't fit all. Some people have problems with white backgrounds and others, like myself, have problems reading screens with black backgrounds. One simply MUST be aware of sight problems in users.

P.S. I tried uploading photos of the black backgrounds in question but the upload wheel just kept spinning. The photo size was within accepted parameter. Also, I tried to check the box "Email me when someone answers the thread" but that wouldnt work either.

Print only printing part of image.

Clicking Print brings up the web page, looks fine. When I click the Print Button (with the Fit to Page Width icon lit) it only prints a much larger image. Only the uppe… (meer info)

Clicking Print brings up the web page, looks fine. When I click the Print Button (with the Fit to Page Width icon lit) it only prints a much larger image. Only the upper left part of the image shown in the print window is printed. Ctrl-P does the same. This started a week or so ago. If I select the test on the page, then copy it, insert it into my word processor, then Print from the Word Processor it prints fine, correct size.

Ideas?

FF95.0.2 streaming videos stop and buffer anywhere from every 30 seconds to every ten minutes

A few weeks ago, when streaming, the videos started stopping to buffer very frequently. (It used to not happen at all. I am visiting the same websites I always have.) Each time it takes anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes to buffer enough to continue playing. It pretty much ruins any movie or show that I'm watching. I use CCleaner to keep the computer clean. I have W10. I clear history on FF DAILY. My download speed on speedtest.com consistently runs between 43-48Mb.

I'm wondering if there are any settings or about:config options that will decrease this buffering and return me to smooth streaming. In "settings" I unchecked "use hardware acceleration when available" and that seemed to help for about 24 hours - so it wasn't the main problem. Is there a cache for video somewhere that I can increase, so that the streaming has enough "room"? Please forgive me; I am not the least bit tech-y, so my online searches are just tragic - I don't really know what to ask!~

Any help will be SO appreciated.

Many https:// websites involving either the logon page, or a page within the website, do not load completely, forcing me to use Microsoft Edge to see the complete page. Using a workaround (copying and pasting username and password) sometimes allows me to log on, but the rest of the site has the same problem – web pages do not load completely, and functionality is limited (example: drop-down menus do not populate).

Some https:// logon pages load correctly, and the site works as it should. There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to why some secure sites work properly, while others don’t.

I did not have this problem with earlier versions of Firefox.

I have attached examples of the difference between the Firefox version of the logon page and the Edge logon page (Cleveland Clinic and Paypal) and one example of the difference that occurs within a website I have been able to log on to (the UHC Help page).

My TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) membership would not load I got 403 forbidden when I click on the account manager locked. I emailed them and they said the account was active. I think tried again from a Chrome browser and had no issues was able to log in . Back on Mozilla Firefox however I am blocked.

Is there a fix or do I need to migrate all my browsing to Chrome ? [email removed from public]

Whenever I try to download something off my google drive, text pops up in the bottom left corner, but then nothing happens. It works just fine on microsoft edge, so I think its a firefox issue and not a google drive issue. I tried refreshing my browser, deleting my cookies, updating my browser, turning off enhanced tracking protection, and anything else I could think of. Please help.

For some reason, randomly, and now this is occurring more and more frequently, Firefox will just hang and say that "Firefox is not responding," and I have to wait ~30 seconds for it to unfreeze and continue using Firefox. I have tried every potential solution that I could find on the Internet, such as disabling hardware acceleration, creating a new places database, etc., and I still keep getting these 30 second freezes on a pretty frequent basis. Hi I have been having trouble using Firefox with the Vanguard website. I can log in to Vanguard just fine on Firefox. But when I try to open certain sections of the Vanguard site i get a blank page. For example: --a few weeks ago I went to the "Security" section of my Vanguard profile to see if Vanguard accepts security keys. I clicked on the "Security Keys" icon and got a blank page instead of a description. When I tried Chrome I got a the Vanguard description of how Vanguard works with security keys. --today I got a an email from Vanguard telling me to retrieve a message in my Vanguard message center. I logged onto Vanguard and went to the message center, clicked on the message and a blank page came up instead of my message. I could read the message when I used Chrome. I spoke to Vanguard and was told that they are "aware of the issue. with the Firefox browser and suggested using Chrome" It didn't sound like adjusting to Firefox was a priority for them. I would much prefer to use Firefox rather than Chrome but don't know how to proceed. I read through the solutions in the Firefox Help section relating to Vanguard but none of the questions/solutions appear to be on point. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

This has happened for a long time as still exists. The Internet has some solution but None of the Work. They suggest to change in settings: For Firefox:

   "Click the menu button on the top-right corner and select Options. Select “Options” in the Menu.

   Select General panel and scroll down to Performance. ...
   Uncheck ”Use recommended performance settings” and then uncheck “Use hardware acceleration when available”

Some other Browsers get the same errors.
