I have used mozilla firefox for over 5 years. It have always had a GOOGLE search bar in the center of the screen and it has worked correctly - now whenever i try to input words into the GOOGLE search bar located in the center of the screen it defaults and jumps to the URL/Web Address Bar at the near top off the screen - this jump to the address bar is VERY distracting and inconvenient! How can I revert to using ONLY the search bar in the center of the screen? I have worked on this for two solid days and none of the recommended fixes have worked. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Google and Firefox numerous times but now it always defaults any Google search to the address bar! THIS MUST STOP!!! Thanks!!! Sincerely!!!

For the past couple of weeks I am not able to log in to AA.com. When I fill in the require fields ( AAdvantage # or username, Last name, Password), it redirects to https://www.aa.com/sorry.html. I have no problem logging in on one of the other major web browsers. Ad blocker is turned off, cache has been cleared, all the tricks that usually solve such problems. So, I'm beginning to think that something in a recent Firefox update doesn't play nice with AA.com. I'm using Firefox Ver 91.0.2.
Any suggestions?

I am using Firefox Browser release 91.0.1 (64 bits) under Windows 10.
When I copy a text, it is: - Impossible to PASTE it in a webmail application (i.e. laposte.net) under FF - Without any trouble with the same application under Google Chrome version 92.0.4515.159 (Build officiel) (64 bits)
Thanks in advance to help me to fix this issuer.
Best regards

When they updated to 89, large spaces were created in between the bookmarked web sites when the window unfolds. So the bookmarks at the bottom don't fit in the window, and to get to the ones I can't see, I have to click the arrow at the bottom. But making it worse, is that if I do go to the bottom, the next time I open the bookmark tab, the list will open at the bottom (it doesn't revert to the top). So I'd have to scroll up to get to the ones at the top.
I list my bookmarks in the order they're in so I can get to the ones I go to most often as fast as possible. So they're at the top - I don't have to scroll far to get to them. I also use the "Other Bookmarks" tab since that's at the top. But sometimes that's hidden and I have to scroll up to get to access that as well.
Also, this update changed the size of the command windows - the copy/paste window, the "open in new tab" window, and the window to get the correct spelling of the word. They're so big, they run from the top of the screen to bottom, instead of a small square. So you'll have to scroll way up to get to the command or word you want.
I can't stand this.
There was a simple work-around. Changing the proton preferences to false. But they removed them with 90. I posted a message on these boards a few weeks ago asking for them not to be removed. Of course it didn't do any good.
There supposedly is a "fix" to this, but it has to do with CSS - whatever the heck that is and I'm not even going to attempt to figure it out. Fixing this should NOT be complicated at all (like the proton preferences). And besides, even that CSS thing won't bring everything back to what is was. So why bother?
More scrolling, bigger command windows, etc., are not that big of a deal, but that's not the point. Why can't they leave well enough alone? What part of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it," do they not understand? If I wanted a tedious way to access my bookmarks, I'd use Chrome!
I know it won't happen, but how can we get them to reset the bookmarks and command windows back to the way they were? Is that asking too much? Ask a silly question...
If their objective is to lose Firefox users, congratulations. It just might work.

I have Firefox 91.6.0esr (64-bit) on Windows. Previously I could access PDFs on a number of websites using the inbuilt PDF viewer. However now Firefox returns a save-as prompt.
I have checked the headers of some of these pdf pages and the header content-disposition: inline; filename=<abcdefg> is contained which I think should cause the PDF to be rendered in the browser but this is not happening. The pdfs on the same pages can be viewed using Edge.

ASUS recently updated the firmware on my home router. Since then Firefox does not work when accessing my ASUS router's management console. By this I mean that I get a blank white screen after connecting to the router. How do I go about debugging this? I am guessing that the issue is caused by one of the add-ons that I have installed in Firefox, but I guess it could also be a setting I have made. In any event, I am looking for a quick methodology to figure out what is causing this incompatibility.

Hello everyone, I have always been a fan of the sync feature. i have 3 devices i use everyday with my tabs open between all of them. now, just recently i switched to linux and ported over my 500+ open tabs using the sync feature by just clicking "Open all taps" button. while playing around i missed up the os and had to reinstall it. now i am here in firefox looking at my synced tabs little window and there is no "open all tabs" button anymore. where did it get moved to? i looked everywhere and i couldn't find it. i cant just spend two or so hours opening all my tabs manually...

From about the time I installed Dropbox 2-3 weeks ago my Windows 10 PC won't go into sleep mode unless I close Firefox first. Closing Dropbox makes no difference so it might just be co-incidence. If I use Norton to run a scan and go into sleep mode at end that also works, and PC stays asleep until I wake it. Have tried refreshing Firefox but no improvement (running Firefox 91.0.2 (64bit)). Any thoughts please?

Please provide an option to revert to the smaller line spacing and the original smaller top window title vertical size. For those of us using smaller displays the new sizes in Firefox make it much less friendly, and inconsistent with other software on the same PC. Thanks!

Dear all,
I cannot unmark the setting "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed". It is annyoing to enter each time all accounts if I want to go to facebook for example, after firefox is restarted.
Firefox will remember history is set. I don´t think i am using privacy mode.

My computer's date and time are correct but Firefox is using the wrong time in all sites (I can't identify what timezone it is). It's a big problem in receiving notifications. I already did the suggested solutions stated in some posts in this site but it's still not working. Even adding an extension doesn't make it right.

When logging in to a website, I accidentally typed the password in the userid field. Now, Firefox displays that password in the autocomplete list for the login on that page. At one time, it was simple to remove an entry from that list by highlighting it and pressing the Delete key; that no long works. I also tried pressing Shift-Delete, which was suggested in a posting I found doing a web search, but that didn't work either. So how does one remove entries from an autocomplete list in Firefox these days?

I use html pages on an internal hard drive that link to pdf documents. For some reason since Version 91.0.2 was installed I can not get the pdf documents to open with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.The new version insist on opening the pdf's in the Firefox web browser. When I click on a pdf link at an external website the files will open in Adobe Acrobat. I used the code below to test the open in Adobe Acrobat execution and it works on the w3School example. When I run it strait from my hard drive the document opens in the Firefox web browser.

I needed to have Windows 10 wiped and reinstalled from my laptop, and the guy who did it cloned my files to save everything. I saw instructions on another post on how to find the bookmarks file under Profile, but it didn't do anything after confirming that it would wipe out all current bookmarks. What am I doing wrong?
