When I try to access me Barclays Online Banking webpage I receive this error message : The connection was reset

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

   The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
   If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
   If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

If I clear my history I can then access the Barclays login page and re-enter my details but as soon as I log out I receive the error message once again when I go back. I have no problem whatsoever using this website with Internet Explorer.

I had to replace my motherboard and install a new operating system on a new hard drive. Windows 7.

The old hard drive has windows 7 OEM and would not boot with the new MB.

I need to recover the bookmarks from the old HD which is connected to the new MB.

I can access the folders. I just can't find the bookmarks. 

I need them to be complete because I used hints in the bookmarks to be able to sign in to some sights that I can't remember.

Help Please!

I'm getting "Video Format or MIME Type is not supported" flashed on all videos on the CW network site, then the video doesn't play; but no where else. And only with Firefox 32.0.3 in Windows 8.1/64 pro (not N or KN) and in Windows 7/64 Pro on another computer.

I don't have any problems with CW videos using Microsoft IE. Not my preferred browser.

Checked the flash updates and they are up to date.

I did a suggested "disable HTML5 media player" in about:config but that didn't help. Couldn't find any other suggestions for my system.

How do I disable HTTPS redirect. I am "aware of the risks" blah blah paranoid blah. And well aware of what I'm doing. But for some reason with 32 no everything heads over to https including non-https bookmarks.

No matter how I type it in; HTTP://www.xxxx www.xxxxx

I would like to find some way, by setting, about:config command (or hack if I have to) or even an extension someone could point me to that could stop this maddening overuse of secure transfers.

For several weeks Firefox crashes when I close it down for the day. Firefox error message box sends crash report. Today I got I think from Firefox: please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off". <configuration>

</configuration> Okay, but under ProgramFiles>Firefox there are several folders and none of them say "root" so where am I to create said file and how do I get it there? And then what? I sure don't want to crash Firefox any more than it does as it at least still works.

Can I change Firefox background (below the tabs) from white to a neutral grey so that it neither blinds me nor forces colour adaption which distorts appearance of other pages.

Internet connection works on Win7 desktop (Windows updates, Google Earth works etc) but Firefox & IE do not load web pages. Laptop (Vista) that uses same router runs Firefox just fine.

Have run various AV software like Malwarebytes etc with no problems found. I DO NOT want ANY internet entity saving my webpage passwords. Mozilla/FireFox insists on asking me if I want to save my password to a webpage. How do I get it to STOP asking me if I want to save a password?

I had an automatic update install to firefox around 2 weeks ago. Since then it has gone from being the best and fastest browser on my computer to the slowest.

Even just typing this message there is a massive lag between me typing and it appearing on screen. Prior to the update it used to run perfectly. If I try and clear the search bar to type in a new address it can take 5 - 10 seconds or won't do it at all so I end up typing into what's already there! Basically every action I take with keyboard or mouse has a delay attached to it.

I have so far tried to reset Firefox option which has made no difference.

Am running Windows 7 Service Pack 1 with 4 GB of RAM. Over half of hard drive space remaining.Chrome which I also have on my PC is running perfectly normal. If possibly I'd like to carry on using firefox! :-)

The date and time prints at the bottom of everything I print. No matter if it is from Firefox, IE, my emails or even a word document. I have tried removing the header/footers but because it prints on any and everything I print, I think it might be a desktop setting...?? I am operating in Windows 7. Please help.

When I try to scroll down using the middle mouse button, it goes so slowly that I can't stand it, so I use the scroll bar to the right. This is annoying to me. When I reset the mouse button on my windows to more lines, it makes it scroll too fast for my docs, but does not affect the scrolling in FireFox. I've looked for tools and options for this, and can't find anything to do about it.

We have a new computer and I cannot get my garmin running watch to sync with mozilla. The error message that I keep getting is"The address wasn't understood

Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because one of the following protocols (connectagent) isn't associated with any program or is not allowed in this context.

   You might need to install other software to open this address."

I have a Dell Inspiron 15, purchased in May 2014. I am running Windows 7 Home. I have been having this problem intermittently for the past two weeks or so.

I have: - checked to see that sound is not muted. - upgraded Adobe Flash player to latest version. - checked online to see if MS updates might have caused the problem and then, - done a system restore for Windows back to 9/29/2014 - tested my speakers on another machine (Windows XP machine that I replaced in May). Speakers are fine and I get sound from YouTube on that machine. - cleared the Firefox cache.

I can hear sound from other web applications that use FlashPlayer (e.g., podcasts).

I have a problem with all browsers, many pre-installed or downloaded programs when run, or especially when deleted/removed from the computer, automatically open the browser to the website of the program. HP/Compaq is infamous for adware with included programs, as is the Free AVAST anti-virus. Wildtangent Games (included with HP computers) is loaded with adware that starts running as soon as a game is opened, and when uninstalled through Programs and Features, every single time opens the browser to ask annoying questions why you don't want their adware loaded games or some idiotic survey.

So my question is, short of unplugging the LAN cable and WiFi box, (which the browser still opens anyway), How do I block ALL programs being removed or run from opening the browser at all? I'll manually open it, I just don't want some crap program linking me to some website I don't want to visit.

And yes Firefox is set as default. So these programs will open up Firefox with their Malware junk.

Other browsers open a pdf on the web inside the browser, which I like. Firefox wants to download it, which I do not like. The settings do not seem to allow me this choice for pdf. Other file types work.
