I can no longer access CreditKarma, receive the error message: (Error code: ssl_error_no_cypher_overlap). Used to work fine, but no longer. Don't know much about computers but would like to fix this. Any ideas?

I am using firefox on mac with manual proxies and have provided the proxy address and port. I have set the proxy in Firefox->Preferences->Advanced->Network. This proxy requires authentication But firefox does not prompt me for credentials of this proxy. It just throws a page that says "Proxy Authorization Required" and "Description: Authorization is required for access to this proxy"

I have tried the following to no effect. 1) Clearing all the profiles in ~/Library/Profiles folders 2) Clearing profiles.ini file. 3) Setting the proxy along with username and password in System preferences and make firefox use system proxies instead of manual proxies.

Right now I am downloading firefox 13 beta to see if this solves the problem. Any workaround available for FF12.0?

EDIT:: Tried with FF 13 beta. Same problem

When I right click on an image and choose 'copy image' and then try to paste it into my editing software, all i get is a string of text that is the location of the image as if I had chosen 'copy image location' instead. what gives?

The OLD advice for this problem, listed below, is NOT working. The web addresses just DON'T come off:

1) Click the arrow that's located on the far right side of the Firefox address bar. A list of URLs will drop down.

2) Place your cursor over the URL you wish to manually delete.

3) Hold down the "Shift" key on your keyboard. Then, press the "Delete" key. The highlighted URL will be deleted. Or I've been advised to hold down the "Control" key. Neither works.

There must some new, updated instructions on how to delete unwanted web addresses from the drop-down list. Anybody???

I often view a map from a government mapping service that requires a plugin (from Autodesk). On my older computer running Win XP and FF12 the plugin was installed in the plugins folder of Firefox.

I now have a new computer running Win7 and FF12 but there is no plugins folder. Where do I install the plugin so it appears in the plugins list under Tools>Addons>Plugins?

In the last day or two I have noticed a pop up saying " Firefox Plug-in HD Video Player is missing: " with an icon to install the plugin.

I searched around the net and found only one sight saying, " this is malware or a phishing program so do not download and just ignore. I am still able to watch movies and what not online but the message is just so damn annoying.

I am using adblock but it is not blocking that message. I am not really sure what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I get this message every time I try to upload a picture anywhere in the internet. I have cleared cookies, I have dumped my firefox account, I have cleared my cache, I have removed all history, I have re-installed firefox. Still getting this issue and 've been looking for solution for the last 3 hours and no luck

After upgrading to Firefox 12, my Tab Bar has reverted back to being on top of the address bar.

How do I make it go back below the address bar and quick links?

All of the information that I have found seems to be out-of-date.

I've got the most current version of Adobe Flash installed but still can't play videos that play fine with Safari. Don't know if it an extension, plug-in, or ? problem.

When I click on a video, I don't get a message such as missing plug-in or anything. I just get a page with a blank space where the video should be.

I have unwanted hyperlinks on my computer. Apparently only on my computer. For example, the word, "revitalize" is now underlined and in a hyperlink color. I did not put this there. How do I remove it.

I know I have installed Ask.com by accident and the initial issue was Ask.com became the default homepage. I've reset that to Firefox fine

I've un-installed the Ask.com file from the control panel.

Second issue was url search result returning ask.com. This too is fixed.

However when searching from the about:home page using the search box the result returns ask.com listings.

In about:config the following two results are listed for Ask.com

Ask.com gives these directions:

"First make sure you don't have the Ask Toolbar installed, as it may cause the homepage to revert to Ask. You can find this toolbar in your Firefox Extensions. In the upper right corner of your Firefox windows there should be an icon with three horizontal lines stacked up. Click those three lines, then from the menu that appears, click Add-ons. Once you have the Add-ons screen up, click Extensions on the left hand side. Then look through your extensions for the Ask Toolbar and remove it. You may still need to change your homepage once you have removed those programs, which you can do by following the instructions below."

But I can't get to a Firefox window from ask.com.

I get pop ups saying I have trojans and it will not leave the page. My system did crash and I do not have any icons and my files and pictures are all gone. I use my McAfee icon to go to the internet. I also have a solid blue screen now. What is the best malware and spyware removal program I can start with? thank you soooo much! Have an awesome day!

I have a PC with 2 GBs of RAM, running W2K, primarily. I had avoided upgrading from the Firefox 3.x.x series ( or 5 ? ) because it was my understanding that it was the last one suitable for Windows2000. Not long ago, I got an automatic robot request from Firefox to update, and tried to make sure it was still within the compatibility range for W2k.

I thought that I was getting a minor update to a W2K version, but instead, have Firefox 12, which has totally disrupted my internet activity because it constantly bogs down into barely running, or else freezes up for long periods, and frequently crashes.

I want to roll back to whatever I'd used before this disaster. And if there's any special ways to do that, I want to know how it works. Thanks.

I can access the below site with other web browsers, however, Firefox will not let me access it nor can I add an exception so that it will access it. If I can't access the web site, I have no reason to use Firefox at all. Can someone please help???

How do I get ride of the dreadful CONDUIT SEARCH which has colonised my Firefox search like computer Herpes? I have tried a few of the replies but nothing has helped - it appears nowhere on any program list and even the following didn't do the trick :-

1. Open Firefox 2. On the address bar, type – about:config in the URL. Press Enter. 3. You will be warned about Warranty. Click on “I’ll be careful…”

4. On the Filter dialog box type – search.conduit 5. It will display all related entries. Right-click on Preferences Name and Reset. It worked for me, after trying a dozen of "fake" solutions. ;)

Other than serious chainsaw work, any ideas?

whenever I view a YouTube video on my linux box (Centos 5.8, fully updated) using Firefox12, YouTube always delivers the html5 video to me instead of Flash. This would be fine, but intermittently the video stops moving (while the audio keeps playing). I click the (I don't know what it's called) slider for the current position and the video will start moving again. until it pauses next time, anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes. I don't know why it delivers html5 instead of flash, on my laptop using centos 6 and firefox12 I get flash video. Is there someway to configure Firefox to get flash instead? If not, I'd appreciate help in fixing the pausing video component.

I still have this problem and now it is starting to affect the browsers functionality and useability. When Firefox is my default browser any link outside of Firefox (like in my e-mail) won't open which is becoming a nuisance. I am running Windows 7 which may be the cause of the problem via a setting but I can't locate the needle in the haystack or it may have happened at a Firefox update. Firefox has been my favorite and only browser since Netscape 1.0 but if I can't resolve this problem I will have to switch to another which I really don't want to do. Help!!!

the adobe flash player 11 is not getting installed on Firefox...as soon as the download starts...it halts at 7%...then after about 30 seconds or so it timeouts and the installation bar suddenly shoots up to but stops at 47%....i have tried using the steps mentioned in other posts...also tried contacting adobe...but their people cant figure out anything wrong... Please kindly help in resolving this matter!!

Trying to access a site where the IP has changed and receive "This Connection is Untrusted" with no option to select I understand the risks. Need assistance in resolving this.

The site worked fine prior to IP change.
