If I open a new tab (firefox default) and start typing in the search box, suggestions and the "Change Search settings" box opens underneath, pressing enter sometimes gives me the about:preferences#search page. I don't need or want this feature but it seems that the default pages are protected, I can't use Stylus to remove the feature which is new for the past few months.

Hello all. I want to read all opened URLs in all tabs from my own program on .NET Framework. How it is possible to do?
I try to use System.Windows.Automation, but this is extremely unstable way. A;so try to use Selenium. Its good choice, but firstly need to start FF under geckodriver and .NET wrapper about geckodriver - FirefoxDriver.
At common, when I doing something in my job, I have a lot, a lot of tabs. On the evening I leave computer and want to continue from this point on next morning or maybe after week. I want to save all opened URLa to my program, named this point with friendly name and return to this point in a few days. And in my program I want to have a history of this saving, arrange by date. But I have no idea about reliable and safe method of reading all opened URLs.

I recently reinstalled my Windows and also got a Firefox again with no previous data like bookmarks and all and i have noticed this small space between the top of the tab and the top of the screen.
In my screenshot you can see that i made a a red line over the line where the tab actually ends, everything above that is useless. And in my other screenshot i pressed Alt to bring the options and all up just to that you can see the empty space better.
Is this how it is and i may have missed an update on my previous Windows install? Can i remove it?
Thank you.

My FF was recently updated to 68.2.0esr and now looks horrendous. I have always had and liked my address bar on top, then bookmarks, then tabs. New versions of FF have occasionally had me searching for workarounds as the default arrangement changed. However, I cannot figure out the latest issue which renders FF mostly unusable for me. The bookmark and tab bars now almost completely overlap. I have to create an entire row of blank tabs just click on actual tabs I want in the second row. Sure, I can ctrl+tab my way through, but I don't prefer that method. Also, the bookmark bar is completely useless as is. Plus, everything just looks bad. Any suggestions as to how I can fix this mess?

The Firefox Home page does not properly resize content to fit the window size. I have had this issue for a while on my laptop, but it just started to happen on my desktop also with the 70.0 update. I posted about it on reddit a while back to try and find help, but no one was able to give me any. Here are some screenshots of the issue on mac from that original post https://imgur.com/a/vTlXfmJ I just want to know if there is any solution to this issue or if anyone else is reporting it. I haven't been able to find any other posts about it and got basically no response from the reddit.

Since updating to Firefox 70, the tab bar is shown even if there is only one tab (it just shows the + button then). Previously, the bar was hidden if there was only one tab. This previous behavior may depend on some setting, but I don't remember if I changed any setting for that. Have *no* Add-ons installed that affect tab visibility.
How to restore the old behaviour that tab bar is hidden if there is only one tab?

There are several pinned tabs when I open my Firefox.
The problem is when there is no Internet connection, these tabs are displayed as requiring network connection. However when the network is connected, these tabs are not automatically updated - they still displayed as requiring network connection. I have to refresh each one of them.
Is that my configuration has problem, or the automatically refresh tab function is missing?

Since updating to version Firefox update 70, the tabs at the top of the screen seem to be longer. This has covered the + button to add a new tab. I've tried resetting everything in customise firefox layout tool. I'm using the default theme, or dark theme, as provided with firefox. I tried each density option and they made no difference. If this isn't happening to everyone, is there something I can do to reset to even more default appearance in order to make the button visible properly? I know I can open new tabs by menu or hotkey combinations. My display choices include showing title bar, menu and bookmark bar. I have only Ublock Origin, Foxy Proxy standard and zoom image add ons.
How do I get tabs on bottom in FireFox 69+? I had it working with the userChrome code up until the October 2019 update.

I restarted Firefox after a reboot and had received the new update (70). I previously had opened tabs (I work a LOT with opened tabs). All of them were now gone. No option to recover previous sessions was under settings. Also, none of my add-ons were present. Is this intended behaviour? Also, it seems to suggest I had to create a FF login to 'sync' things up? With what? I don't need my phone and my PC sync'd. I don't need my work and my home PC sync'd. It's fine that this was a feature previously but please tell me this isn't being thrust upon us because someone thinks that's "what everyone wants"?

Hi!
I've enabled "Restore previous session", but i want it to continue on a new tab next time if I close Firefox by closing all of the tabs individually instead of closing the browser window itself.
So if I close all the tabs individually, it should next time I startup Firefox open a single NEW tab while still remembering my previous tabs if I close Firefox by closing the window itself. Just like it works on chrome with "Continue where I left off" enabled.
Any help appreciated!
Thanks!

For as long as I can remember, all my new tabs opened into a Google search window. But now, they open into a Search Mozilla Support window. That's not what I want -- I want to restore the Google search window.
I've checked the forums, and followed the advice on changing this: Settings > Search > One-Click Search Engines.
That doesn't work for me, because Mozilla Support is selected as my search engine, and the Restore Default Search Engines button is greyed out. When I click the tab for Find More Search Engines, there's no sign of Google.
Does Mozilla hate Google?

Hi. I would like to add a feature request not a problem to Firefox but I'm not sure if this is the place to do that.
I usually switch tabs using my the key command Ctrl + Tab and in Chrome I'm able to start the switch backwards using Ctrl + Shift + Tab. In Firefox the skipping backwards functionality is there but I need to start it but skipping forward once then start moving backwards.
What I want is to be able to start my tab switching backwards as well as forwards, like it works in Chrome.

How do I save keywords in the search bar in a new tab so that I can search using more than one search engine sequentially without having to type keywords anew? After searching using Google, when I use the back function, the keywords I entered before are not there. When I begin typing, the prior keywords appear in dropdown menu but when I click on this it takes me back to Google, when what I would like to do is repeat the search with a different search engine.
