I am working with Firefox 3.5.8 and I create websites with Dreamweaver as part of CS4. I can Preview my sites in 3.5.8 but when I upgraded last time I could no longer Preview in Firefox. So I had to de-install and go back to my previous Firefox. Has this been fixed in the newest version 3.5.17? Cos if it hasn't I won't be upgrading.

When I browse for add-ons within a chosen category, only a few special-featured add-ons appear. Below this are samples of "top rated" "new" etc. add-ons in ALL categories and these have a "browse all top rated" or "...all new" but I can find no option to browse all add-ons in the CHOSEN CATEGORY...how can I get to the pages of allo add-ons within the chosen category and not just the special featured ones???

Firefox automatically installed the "private browsing" option on my browser. I do not want it.

why did you start using plugin-container.exe. It is constantly causing crashes on my computer proven by when I install firefox 3.6.4 or .5 or .6. the program also frequently uses 3.5 gigs of memory. When I remove firefox and install an older version that doesn't use it I have lots of memory left and no crashes.

How do I change the location of where browsing history is stored by using about:config? Mozillazine knowledge base says the location can be moved but doesn't explain how.

firefox 3.6.13 says I no longer have protection against online attacks. Version 4 will not run because I don't have "enough previledges for some itms.

After an upgrade sometime ago Firefox 3.6 refused to load. Nothing happens when clicking the icon. Have decided to remove 3.6 and install Ver 4. I have previously used the Mozbackup program to transfer profiles and other data. Will this work transferring from Ver 3.6 to Ver 4? I have read many FAQ's on transferring Profiles etc but none mention Mozback which I have always found quick snd easy I am using Windows XP home

I got a message under my original Firefox telling me to update. I followed instructions and downloaded new files for Firefox 5. Download was successful. When I followed Wizard to set up, I am told to close Firefox 4 which stopped working. When I click on old icon nothing happens so I am stuck using Internet explorer which I hate. I have tried multiple times to install 5 and always end up in the close old version of firefox before you install 5 loop. Running Windows 7 Home edition

I have been using Firefox 5 for some months now, but since last week, Firefox addons website doesn't recognize it as Firefox 5. For example, every time I try to install recently updated theme, there is a message saying it is "Not available for Firefox 3.5.8". Even this page where I'm typing my question now, where you say "We've made some educated guesses about your current browser and operating system", Firefox version shows 3.5.8, and Operating system shows Vista, but I'm using Win7. Why is this happening? Can you, please, help me?

When I log into facebook, there is a white screen with the text displayed on left side of screen. I have tried to delete cache and cookies but page will still not display properly. Please help!

If you want a divider line, such as I added during the edit, use 5 hyphen characters in a row.

Before i used to be able to save all my tabs for my next session by selecting the Save and Quit option when exiting firefox, now i cannot do this.

I ran the download several times this morning. It appears to run OK, but I still get the message that my version of Firefox is no longer protected against on-line attacks. Get the upgrade - it's fast & free What am I missing??
