When my wife started Firefox one day the Firefox bookmarks from my computer loaded into her computer. She was in one state and i was in another. Her bookmarks are no longer visible - only mine. I checked her Profile folder - only my bookmarks are visible. Questions: How can this happen? How can she retrieve her bookmarks?

I need to use special characters in my bookmark entries (in the sidebar), for url entries and also, if possible, for the folders containing them. When I rightclick to get "Properties", there is no field "Font" or similar, so how/where would I change the font, and what default font is used there, to begin with?

My second question would then be how use another font for some entries, instead of the default one, or more precisely, how to combine two fonts within the same entry (bookmark or bookmark folder, if possible, too), in order to get, within the regular text of the entry, some special characters which are not included within the default font.

If such combination of two fonts for the same entry is not possible, I should at least know what the default font is, and where FF stores it, in order to put special characters from within another, special font into that default font.

With very vague help from your Support answers, I figured this out on my own and had to comment because all too many times your experts forget they are not always dealing with techs on answering these questions. For me this is what worked when I tried to alphabetize my bookmarks: Open LIbrary, show all Bookmarks (bottom of the list of bookmarks), click on Views and select Sort.

I just brought up FF browser. It appears as if just installed. All bookmarks gone, Homepage changed, 'Welcome, new person', etc. How do I get all my old settings bacl?

I have restored from a Windows 7 backup and the restored favourites are in Users%name%/Favourites but my restored favourites are not connecting the Firefox 78.0.1 (64-bit) bookmarks.

After upgrading to Windows 10 or maybe Firefox 78.0.1 every time I navigate to a bookmarked page from the Bookmarks/Library window, that Library window continues to run in the background. I'd like to find a way to have this close automatically like it used to. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Hi, When I turned on my computer this morning, my bookmarks were not there. I've tried the steps laid out by Firefox, but no success. I tried another browser, Safari, which I seldom use, and Safari bookmarks were still there. I have many different bookmarks in Firefox so I'd rather not switch over to Safari unless absolutely necessary. Nothing else is missing, so I doubt if I've been hacked. I did check a bank account, which was fine. I'm not a high profile person, so I doubt if I've been targeted. And I see the pic of the lock closed in the URL bar constantly. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. I'm on Mac OS 10.15.5 (Catalina) Firefox 78.0.1 (64bit) Thanks, JJ

A couple of months back, and entire bookmark folder suddenly disappeared. I assumed that I had inadvertently done something to cause this, though it had never happened before. Today, not only is another folder gone missing, several others have as well. I am using Windows 10 Pro, Version 1909, Build 18363.900. I recently switched to Firefox from Chrome for security issues, but unless I can figure out what is happening here, I am going to switch back. Any ideas?

Hello,

I am running FF 78.0.1 on W10. I had to upgrade to a new laptop from W7 but also running FF.

On my other computer I had a star button that had rounded tips that was located just to the left of the bookmark star. The rounded tip star simply performed the two step action of clicking the bookmark star and then clicking Remove Bookmark, but all with one click.

After moving to this new setup I miss this feature. I have searched this site and the internet and found no references as to how to add a button that performs the actions.

Does anyone have an idea on how to get a button like this with these features?

I have favourite most used sites on my toolbar - e.g. gmail, facebook. From last week each time I open up my computer if I want to go to one of these I have to sign in all over again. This never used to happen. It is driving me crazy. Any idea how to stop it happening please? Otherwise I shall have to stop using Firefox.
