seemingly at random, images displayed in firefox will look incredibly messed up (like artifacting, and discolored chunks or stripes), text will be missing (as small as a few letters or as much as a page having no visible text at all), text will be discolored (usually a bright color like neon green or pink), and/or or text will appear blocky (sometimes manifesting as the font looking a little thicker and less HD, sometimes as bad as just being illegible rectangles). text with missing letters is able to be read while highlighted, but text that has become blocky is still unable to be read (still blocky) even while highlighted. i don't know if discolored text is affected by highlighting.

these issues happen regardless of what website i'm on, and will also happen on new tab pages or on firefox settings pages. it isn't consistent, it comes and goes. refreshing the page doesn't help or change anything, but if i close the tab and then navigate to the page again it's often different.

i've attached all the examples i've thought to capture, which isn't much. it can make the browser practically unusable at times.

i have firefox version 89.0 (64bit, auto updates enabled), on a windows 10 with 8GB of RAM and AMD FX-9800P RADEON R7 (i honestly.. don't know what that part means, but thought it could help) i previously had "Use recommended performance settings" and "Use hardware acceleration when available" enabled in firefox, but i turned them both off in an attempt to fix the problem. it didn't help.

i can't say for sure when this issue began, as i haven't used firefox much until recently, but i think it's been happening for over a month now. none of the other programs i use appear to be having visual problems, just firefox. at some point a year or more ago, i ran firefox on this computer without issue.

After installing some random extension (pinned tab whats app or something like that), my firefox starts to act weird. I have big stripe/band on top of barely every website I use (as seen on attached screenshots).

I uninstalled the extension right away but it doesn't fix the issue. So I uninstalled entirely firefox, deleted what I found as my use profile folder, made a fresh install, but the issue is still here.

It disappear in troubleshooting mode, but in normal mode even with no extension the bug is still here.

When displaying developer tools, the page is now totally blank on some site, normal on others.

I'm on Elementary Os 5.1 (ubuntu 18.04).

As others have reported, Firefox will suddenly close. There are no warnings and it doesn't freeze it just turns off.

As a WordPress web developer, I have lost hours of work due to this issue. When the browser closes, my work is lost.

I have installed the latest & greatest video driver (and the driver of everything else.) I have minimal add-ons.

I have seen several other threads and no posted solution. Should I start using another browser?

I am facing a strange issue where the Browser doesn't load the website for a minute and shows server error. However, this behavior is not specific to any website and the server error shows randomly. Sometimes the browser loads the website normally while other times it shows server error. Please check this screencast: https://jmp.sh/jEu4D9k to understand better. So, I initially tried to open calendly.com and it didn't load despite my multiple reload attempts. However, when I tried to reload it after a minute then it came to life.

I have been facing this issue for many months and I tried almost every solution I found on Mozilla community pages like Resetting Mozilla, Setting No Proxy, Turning Off IPv6, DNS Prefetching Changes, Turning On/Off hardware acceleration, Uninstalled Mozilla and Installed a fresh copy, Changed to Mozilla Developer Edition, etc. but no luck. Please note that the other browsers are working fine and don't have any issues.

Latest update of FF does not work well with TradingView.

Specifically TABS. I would have several tabs open displaying several stocks I'm in or following. Text in tab area USED to display the real time data accurately updating tick by tick. Now it just sticks at whatever price was when tab opened or is really behind.

This is a HUGE problem as things can be moving in charts and not showing in tabs.

Hello I have almost 10 tabs opened. I tried to refresh one of them but didn`t respond. Then I tried another one but didn`t respond either. So I closed Firefox and reopend it. A popup appeared for some seconds with the warning that there is a missing dll and may be a reinstall could fix the problem. I did so (without unistalling Firefox) but still the problem remains. Every time I open Firefox, all tabs appear, but the address bar is blank in all of them and back-forward and refresh tabs are grey. Any Help please? Thank you.

Attached is a screenshot of what I saw early 6/9 when I opened Firefox. I had about 40 tabs open at the time, none of which seemed to be hogging power or memory. At first I had some apps running (you can see which ones in the task bar), and then closed most of those apps but all the other tabs had the same issue. I restarted, and just as soon as I clicked "Restart", Windows crashed and said "...have run into an unexpected error". Don't remember if there was an error code (I don't think so). After the check and restart, a new version of Firefox launched and seems to be working currently.

Any guesses as to why this happened?

Whenever I try to type into duckduckgo serach box my address bar pops up and it goes into that instead of the search engine search box. I have tried to change search from address bar to search box in settings yet it still happens. Started with 89 build.

I will have only 5 tabs open and it will go up to around 1000-1100 MB. I have tried refreshing Firefox a bunch, uninstall and reinstall extensions, clearing the memory in about:memory, and have tried getting help on reddit as well. I love the look and snappiness of Firefox, and want to use it badly, but can't due to this fact. Can someone help me?

After a crash, or even after shutting down the computer without closing all Firefox windows, Firefox will restore all the windows and tabs from the last session on restarting Firefox.

There can be many reasons why this may not be preferred behaviour for many users: Sometimes Firefox or the computer crashes because too many windows and tabs are open (and other applications running), killing Firefox may be a measure against malicious pages trying to hijack the browser, discarded pages after shutdown do not need to be restored, ...

So is there a way to make Firefox immediately ask whether to restore the session, like it already does after the second crash? This should actually be an option in the settings.

Google meet hangs in Firefox after few minutes joining a meeting. Have tried to fix it by clearing cookies and cache, but it doesn't help. But the Meet is working fine in others browsers . My Firefox is also updated to recent version.

YouTube Music (music.youtube.com) is inaccessible via the regular window of Firefox. However, I can access YouTube Music via a 'private' Firefox window. This started occurring during penultimate update to Firefox.

If I search for YouTube Music, a link appears, but when I click the link literally nothing happens. The page remains as is.

My copy is totally unresponsive. I am getting error "Gah! your tab has crashed". I have tried everything I could on the net but to no avail. Urgent help requested. I am hopelessly dependent on Firefox and can't think of using another browser.

If I am on Youtube and click the logo icon in the top left, or the Twitter back button, or click on a recommended video, my entire computer freezes for 8-15 seconds. I can't close apps, speak on communication apps like Discord, nor can I even close the tab. I've tried troubleshoot mode, verifying browser file integrity, turning hardware acceleration off, and using older versions of Firefox and the issue seems to persist no matter what I do, I happen to really like this browser and I really want to try and find a solution for these issues. I am always running the latest version of Firefox (90b5) and use windows 8.1. When recording some of my performance data it seems the issue uses all the power my CPU (i-5 6600k) is able to offer. I don't know how to fix this and would really appreciate any help, thank you in advance.

Any time I try to manage my Firefox account, the page doesn't load and instead tells me "General application error. Something went wrong. Please try again later." without fail.

I am unable to open youtube. Any idea how can I fix it. I am getting below message
