I hope someone can help me with this problem. I own the domain "cpaaffiliatesnetwork.com" and the site serves as my business site and access to my business network platform. The site is SSL secured and the SSL certificate was renewed in February 2021 for 1 year. Since the SSL renewal, I started having issues accessing the site from any browsers installed on this computer (Edge, Firefox & Chrome). I have now managed to fix the display issue in both Edge & Chrome through clearing cache / history, BUT, I have tried the same with FF with no success. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox, but, still receive the error below for any attempt to access the site: Secure Connection Failed

When eset war running it started working again - i deleted eset since it was slowing down my pc, and the problem is back.

I am getting a certification issue when trying to visit 2 specific sites which are some of the most visited sites in the web: https://www.google.com and https://www.youtube.com

The error it shows when trying to visit these 2 pages, is SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER.

I have tried to troubleshoot it and follow the solutions recommended at: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/error-codes-secure-websites#w_the-error-occurs-on-multiple-secure-sites

however none of the solutions described in this guide worked to solve my problem.

In that guide, one of the suggested solutions is to scan my system for any malware. I used the following: Windows Defender Maleware Bytes AntiMalware Karpersky TDSSkiller however the results are all clean.

In the guide, it suggested that I check the clock as well. The system clock however is synchronized.

Last, I have resetted Firefox Profile but this didnt fix the issue either.

I shall note that the issue appeared yesterday and so far nothing helped fixing it. Not even the system restarts.

The issue about visiting these two sites, is limited only to Firefox.

I can access https://www.google.com and https://www.youtube.com without problems using Google Chrome and the Opera Browser.

Also, Google Mail and Google Translate work fine on Firefox. These two sites can be accessed with Firefox without causing any SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER errors.

Reviewed "Sheribee" earlier issue which apparently involved a VPN. I do not have a VPN but have tried several times in the past week to access IRS refund status site without success. I can get into irs.gov, but am unsuccessful in accessing the refund status site after entering required input data. The issue has occurred only this past week.

I'm unaware of IRS issues causing this problem.

Have not had this issue on any other sites; and I have successful retrieved data in prior years.

I am not saving any sign on protocols with the irs or any other sites.

I get this in safe mode but not in private browsing. I have tried all of the fixes suggested last time I asked about this problem including deleting cert9.db but that hasn't worked this time (so maybe it wasn't the fix last time either).

I called my credit union and they told me they don't support Firefox and if I want to login I would have to use Edge or Chrome. Is there a fix for Firefox or am I being forced to use a different browser by my credit union?

After auto update to FF 89.0, access to long-time Fidelity account is intermittently blocked as a security warning, or causes DSL line to drop at submission of account security code, or displays account entry page as plain text, not std HTML formatting, or most often results in a technical error page saying try again later. MS EDGE works fine, no issues. This is the only webpage this occurs on. Fidelity has no FF reported issues on their end nor does my IP supplier. I'm on firefox 90.0.1 on Mac OSX Big Sur 11.2.3. When I try to delete a site certificate that I have (that is about to expire), it appears deleted, but when I open the certificates page again it reappears. When I restart Firefox after deletion it reappears. When I delete cert9.db from my default profile after closing firefox, and then reopen, it still reappears. When I uninstall Firefox, delete the default profile folder from App Data and the Mozilla and Firefox folders from my caches, it still reappears (I also deleted the update folder).

I am doing sync between this mac, my phone, and another computer, but I ONLY have bookmarks, Add-ons, and history. Might the sync be also syncing my certificates?

Help/tips would be appreciated.

There are circumstances where the domain owner of a given site could indeed have misconfigured their web site and I am grateful for Firefox detecting this and not immediately loading the page. My concern however is that I don't have the freedom to continue no matter what I try ("Advanced" only provides with the error message and has "Go back" option). I had to go so far to install Chrome in order to load the page - it detected the same problem but had a "go to the page despite this error" possibility. I am grateful for the security protection of Firefox but I would appreciate being allowed the freedom to load a page after being warned of any potential security hazard rather than being forced to not open it.

After upgrading to Firefox 91 when I visit site with self-signed certificate in Private window I always get Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead error even though the certificate had already been added to exception list while not in private browsing. It looks like in private window certificate exception store is not honored. There was no such an issue before version 91. This behavior is by design or it could be a bug ?

Just updated Firefox from version 90.0.2 -> 91.0.1 on a Mac running OS 10.15.7.

I'm experiencing 404 errors of which do not occur in the previous version. Here's what the console shows...

I tried several things to try and isolate this issue, but all to no avail. The file does exist, and loads in the previous version of Firefox.

I'm having a recurring problem with Firefox on various Google sites: google.com, Gmail, Calendar, Keep etc. For long periods of time (but not always), Firefox completely fails to load the site, or loses its connection after the page is loaded (for example Gmail displays an error message "Oops... The system encountered a problem (#001)"). The problem usually seems to occur for periods of many minutes, with occasional gaps where the sites work properly. Also, it seems to be site-specific: sometimes it will load google.com normally while Gmail is still having problems. This is really frustrating, I'd like to use Firefox for all my browsing but I also need to use Google services regularly and that doesn't work if Firefox won't load them properly most of the time.

I'm pretty confident it's a problem with Firefox itself, and not with my network or computer, because I get the same issue across multiple Firefox installations and versions (Firefox 90 and 91 on Windows 10, and Firefox 78.10.0esr and 90 on Linux), and while the problem is happening I can access the same sites successfully from a different browser on the same computer (Chrome or Edge). I've tried refreshing my Firefox profile, working in a private browsing window and using a completely new profile, but the problem still occurs. I've also made sure I'm using "Standard" protection in Firefox's security settings and disabled Enhanced Tracking Protection for the sites I'm trying to access.

I've tried to look at what's going on using Firefox's Network Monitor, and the key thing that seems to happen when this problem occurs is that one or more network requests to a google address (google.com, mail.google.com or ssl.gstatic.com) appear with "0 B" in both the Transferred and Size columns (see screenshot attached). Sometimes the failed network request has a simple padlock icon as in the screenshot, and sometimes a red error symbol with mouseover text that says a security error prevented the resource being loaded. There's also occasionally an error message in the Console: "A ServiceWorker passed a promise to FetchEvent.respondWith() that rejected with 'TypeError: NetworkError when attempting to fetch resource.'.". Removing the relevant service workers in about:serviceworkers doesn't make any difference. On Linux, I've tried using tcpdump to check the actual network traffic and it looks like nothing is actually sent across the network for these requests, so whatever the problem is seems to be happening inside Firefox itself.

Ticking the "Disable Cache" box in the network monitor doesn't help. If I manually resend the same request using the menu in the network monitor, a normal response is received (but the content is not actually displayed in the browser).

It looks to me like some kind of caching or security problem, where Firefox somehow gets in a state where some network requests are blocked or fail to load from a cache, but after a while whatever is causing the problem is cleared and it works normally for a minute or two before the problem recurs. I would simply report this as a bug on Bugzilla, but I can't offer steps for anyone else to reproduce the problem because it only happens when I'm logged into my own Google account. I've run out of ideas for how to diagnose or fix this. Can someone suggest anything else I should try? Thanks!
