Cut /copy and paste, nightmare!!!

what is going on? Cut / copy and paste should be easy, its not. Open a new tab, google homepage, and unable to paste the item I had just copied from another tab, it will only work when I go back to original and recopy? Too time consuming this issue.

I need Proxy settings to use some of the company's applications. Until yesterday, I was able to set them and change them at will. Today, the browser disabled this ability, so I can't use some applications. The fields are grayed out and I can't change them (screen attached). What could be the problem and how to change it as soon as possible? I am not familiar with technical issues, so please give me very simple answers that I will understand and take as little time as possible.

About three days ago, the dropdown lists for various websites I use stopped populating unless I use the backspace. So, for instance, if I want to find "John", nothing happens if I just start to type it in. But if I type in "Jo" and then backspace, John pops up. (Perhaps important: Even though I have now deleted the "o", only John pops up, not names beginning with J but followed by a different letter.) Curiously, it seems like the first time each day that I go onto any given website, the dropdown does populate properly, but just that once. I checked Edge and Chrome, and the dropdowns work fine there, so it's definitely a Firefox problem. Any ideas about what is going on and how I can fix it? Thanks.

I have been using the Walgreens web site to manage my many prescriptions without problems. Now, most of the Walgreens web site still works but the two menu options that need to display my personal prescription details fail with the display "Sorry, an unexpected error occurred. Please try again later." I initially thought that a Walgreens update might be in progress so just waited. Walgreens support gave me the same answer that there was probably web site maintenance in progress. After 4 days of the same problem and answer, I ported enough information to login in to Walgreens with the Microsoft Edge browser and access to my prescription information worked without a problem. I believe this problem with Firefox started around the time I updated to 117.0.1 but I might not have this perfectly correct. I was just notified to update to 118.0 and did so. Firefox access still fails and Edge access still works. Thanks for any help you can provide. Windows 10

115.3.1 esr automatically downloaded and installed and it disfigured 102.5.0 to the point that there was not an address bar, menu bar and only part of the tabs because I am using userChrome.css that I have used for years - is there a fix?

For some time now I have been having trouble with viewing you tube video's. At times the video freezes or just sort of locks up. But, I don't have the same problem with other browsers, Chrome, Brave. So, it just seems with Firefox this issue pertains. Can some one please help so I don't experience the Firefox you tube problems. Thank you.

I'd really like Firefox to use my X selection buffer, or, if that's not possible then stop supporting shift+insert because the inconsistency is jarring.

In a terminal I highlight then use shift+insert to paste, but when use shift+insert in Firefox it pastes my copy buffer rather than my selection buffer. So I copy something from the web, then use shift+insert in my terminal because I'm used to that now, and I paste the wrong thing in. And I highlight something in my terminal, switch to Firefox and use shift+insert to paste it, and it pastes the last thing I ctrl+c'd.

If shift+insert did nothing in Firefox then I'd get used to it, but the switching back and forth is something I stub my toe on every day. Does nobody else feel this pain? Please fix it!

Been perfect for years. However, recently (2/3 months) when attempting to make a purchase online using my normal bank debit card, I am sometimes asked for verification. On entering the "Correct" details and the "Correct" PIN sent to me by my bank, the verification will not work. I have had several long conversations with my bank who have established nothing is wrong either with my banking or their system. Their investigation shows the problem lies with my browser ie. "Firefox". This is causing me untold misery and prevents me purchasing online with my bank. I have no idea how to find the issue or certainly how to fix it. Otherwise my pc is working just fine. Windows 10. I really hope you can throw some light on this. I suspect it has occurred since a Firefox update was installed!!!! William Burns

My internet provider is changing shortly and I need to change my email. I cannot make a change to my primary email in my Firefox account, which I would need to do. What am I missing?

The browser window is locked in a fixed position on the desktop. No issues with any other functionality. I don't have this issue when using the original Firefox browser. I searched Google but couldn't find a solution that works for me. Any suggestions?

When you highlight a line or something you want to search, once you highlight and copy it. After you do, byou can go in and delete what you just copied and searched for. Problem I'm having, is that it deletes from the area that saves them, but if you go to the search bar, it is still available there, even though I had deleted it.

Watching videos on Twitter/X doesn't seem to work too well on Firefox. I don't have an account, but I sometimes have to watch a clip on the site. The problem is that you cannot skip the video i.e. you cannot move the dot that shows where you are on the video; you have to watch it from the start, till the end. You cannot also change the volume, apart from clicking on the "mute", so technically here you have the options of full sound and no sound. Twitter has always worked perfectly on the Microsoft Edge that came with the Windows on this desktop PC (bought in fall 2020).

After upgrade to Firefox ESR 115.3, receive pop-ups of "Alert - Please authenticate to the token "ActivID ActiveClient 1". How to do so depends on the token (for example, using a fingerprint reader or entering a code with a keypad)." Firefox ESR 115.3 is installed on Windows 10 (22H2). ActiveClient 7.1.0 is used with SCR33x USB Smart Card Reader and US Government issued CAC (Smartcard) for authentication to different web sites. Some authentication actions complete by merely clicking OK on the pop-up alert. However, at least one web site (a tenable.sc site using authentication integrated with Active Directory) fails to authenticate and displays a Sign In requesting Username and Password. The only way to complete login (passwords are not permitted and smartcard authentication is required): In Privacy & Security > Certificate Manager > Authentications Decisions + delete the listing of the host name for the tenable.sc server. Close Firefox browser. Open Firefox browser and select the tenable.sc web site (it is an internal URL). Acknowledge the pop-up. A dialog box is displayed to select the certificate from the Smartcard. Authentication is successful and site is usable for that session; however, after browser is closed, inability to authenticate with SmartCard with future sessions unless the host name is deleted from the the Authentication Decisions. Prior to upgrade to Firefox ESR 115.3 (from ESR 102.15); the pop-up did not appear for any of the CAC enabled web sites and login to the tenable.sc server correctly used to the smartcard certificate without requiring deletion of the hostname from authentication decisions.

i cannot get the mic and camera to show in firefox any and chromebook versions including full desktop version linux, all settings enabled firefox.

on option in sttings , let website ask to use camera or mic,  hello id like voice search and vid conf but i cant enable it, works fine on mobile phone. so the user cannot use his computer in those 2 features unless a website requests it, what a stupid setting really

I've been looking for help for a week now as to what happened to my ability to print from Firefox? Everything was fine until last week with the update. It's not my printer as I am able to print from other browsers. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Trying to clear saved printer setting per Troubleshooting advice. I even deleted it from my computer to try and get an earlier version but it keeps bringing me back to the latest version that does not work. The worst part was I was trying to back up my computer (restore point) to an earlier date my Webroot was not allowing me to do that I I could not get that turned off. I called the Geek squad who remoted in and made things worse. She somehow deleted my ONLY restore date there. So for a week I have been trying to find help. You are my last resort before I switch to another browser. I work from home so this is not convenient, as I print often. Switching browsers just to print is wasting time (I don't like the other browsers). HELP!
